My self-summary
Are you a person with an unregistered personality who is not afraid to use it?

I am going to start with the commonalities I am looking for. If I ask for anything that does not cut both ways, I will indicate it.

First, I am looking for a self actualized person, but my definition may not perfectly align with Maslow's. I define such a person as one driven by their own criteria for what is important.
I am told I am honest, charming, playful, engaging, and good company. I work best in relationships that have the languages of touch and thoughtfulness in common.

My biggest earthly treasures are my friends, most of whom are people of principle, with little else in common, so I guess I like diversity (and principles). I have a lot of friends, but no "tribe," nor much us for one.

I am looking for someone who is real, and comfortable in their own skin.

Non-dysfunctional is the new 'sexy', and for me, brains are a close second (I like smart people, but a Phd. in common sense is always impressive and welcome. In fact, common sense is a good balance for me, having rarely been accused of it!) ! A sense of humor is a must. If you are funny, I will probably like you.

I try to care less about WHAT people think, and more about their reasons for thinking it.

I am physically most attracted to taller women who are neither thin nor fat, but curvy, but it is almost not worth mentioning; there have been so many exceptions. The thing that attracts me most is the x factor, which is unpredictable, so it is a good idea to share with me something that is unique about you (If you hate sunsets and walks on the beach, well, at least that's different)!

My oddest habit is giving specific compliments to strangers, without breaking stride.

I put down "a little extra" under body type, because the other options
were "full figured" and "curvy." Heavy set would be more accurate.
What I’m doing with my life
Finishing a Degree, finishing a short story, and writing a couple of books, studying the New York Times Manual of Style and Usage (only I would get excited about this), and writing music with an eye to the low-budget film market.
I can truly say I have been things and seen places. No, that is not a typo.
I’m really good at
Writing, composing, playing bass and making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
My long black hair and my Ferrari. No, wait, that's not me, I was thinking of someone else.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy anything good on the subject of design and the arts. Articles on writing also interest me.

Movies: 'Spirited Away', ' To kill a Mockingbird', 'Second Hand Lions', 'Millennium Actress', 'Tokyo Godfathers', 'Open Range', 'Bronx Tale', 'The Fall', anything by studio Ghibli, "the Frighteners', 'Love Actually', 'The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain', and almost anything with Cary Grant or Katherine Hepburn.

For television I like 'Sherlock', and 'Phineas and Ferb'

I like Vince's pizza, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and trying new things. It has been my experience, having been to Japan, that no one cooks Italian like the Japanese.
The six things I could never do without
Love
Faith
Friends
Music
Principles
Humor
My impeccable counting skills
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"Ships and shoes and sealing wax, cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings..."
...and if I'll be sued by Lewis Carroll, by whoever is in charge of such things...
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical night for me. Ever. What I'd LIKE to be doing is:
(1) almost anything with the anyone who makes me forget ...EVERYTHING ELSE!
(2) time with friends.
(3) writing, studying, playing music, or who knows? I like new things. Doing only things I am used to gets a bit boring.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My word, haven't I been candid enough already?
OK, here it is: I cry at sad movies. So what.
You should message me if
If you like to communicate in a fun and playful way. I'm looking for someone with an unregistered personality who is not afraid to use it. I want to know what is different about you.

Extra points if you are bold enough to initiate. I get bored with doing all the work. Been there, done that! Tired of it…

If you are looking for casual sex, that'll be next floor down, aisle 17, next to the plastic artificial flowers, but not here. And thanks for shopping!
