My self-summary
So I'm a nerd/geek with an endless curiosity that jumps around from subject to subject. I love figuring out how things work and enjoy a good puzzle.

A friend recently described me as someone who is always there when needed. He also said more recently that I tend to be blunt in my delivery.

So basically I'm there for my friends and tell it as it is. I tend to play devil's advocate as I find it fairly easy to look at things from multiple perspectives.

Note: Most of my photos are out of date as I've lost 55+ lbs so far this year.
What I’m doing with my life
Well I have a degree in digital media and visual effects so I've been doing some work in that line of work. Mostly motion graphics but since my mind tends to lean more towards the "left," I've moved towards character rigging which is a blend of technical and artistic.

One of my hobbies right now is 3D printing. My printer is small and I mainly print trinkets but I enjoy it. I actually finished a 34 piece helmet recently that I planned out for Halloween a couple years ago when my friends decided to do a theme of DC villains. Now I'm moving onto a new multi-print project.

Also looking forward to seeing Hamilton in a couple months.
I’m really good at
Figuring out how things work, driving, finding a simple solution to a complex problem, video games, and procrastination.

I'm great at poorly singing along with the radio. I've only done this in front of one friend so if I do this in front of you, then you know that I'm comfortable with you.

Also making peppermint bark.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends. If I'm standing, my height. If I'm sitting, probably my stoic nature which is usually from me thinking and observing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: American Gods, the Odyssey series, and Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler to name a few. I listen to audiobooks at the gym and We Are Legion(We Are Bob) was great. Of course I read Harry Potter and enjoy that universe in both written and film form.

Movies: Always Disney and Pixar animation. Big ones so far recently have been Arrival, The Martian, Zootopia, Mad Max: Fury Road, Kingsman, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Rogue One, Moana, Inside Out, Captain America: Civil War, and Star Trek Beyond.

TV: There are a lot. To name a few: Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Westworld, The Magicians, Battlestar Galactic, and I just started watching The West Wing to which I'm left wondering how have I gone this long without watching this marvelous show.

Music: It varies. There are a lot of film scores in my iTunes library. I've listened to Hamilton a lot but there is no amount to which one can say is too many times. Besides that, I tend to stick with various forms of rock but the range I'll listen to is broad.
Six things I could never do without
Why not save this for a later discussion?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Time. Space. Light. Sound. Matter.

Why perpetual motion machines don't really work. How one might program a system to self teach there for create an AI. Why creating AI may be a bad thing. Why it may be good. If my POP vinyls* come to life when I'm not around and hang out together outside their boxes. I could keep going.

*I have a collection of them but all from subscription boxes which I'm stopping. Way too much stuff I don't need.
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly, because all of my friends have different schedules and lives to live, I usually just spend Friday night relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I played football for a brief period my freshman year of high school. For this, let's just say it didn't end well but that it was probably for the best.

I also often feel like I should have gone into engineering instead of video production which was the path that formed in front of me.
You should message me if
You see the message button and can't help but press it to see what happens when you hit "Send."

Seriously though, message me if you think we'd get along. I'd actually like to meet people through this. Hopefully someone awesome to be the Amy Pond to my Rory Williams.
