My self-summary
Self-absorbed egomaniac? (Check.)
Converting the world to my way of thinking? (Work-in-progress. Check back with me later.)
Of course, everyone else is wrong and I'm right. Obviously. ;)

Yet I digress...

I strive to be a good person. I have a wonderful daughter (in the interest of full-disclosure) that I see as often as I can. I am a creative, with design as my chosen career. Done it for many years and I have a difficult time seeing myself doing anything else. I grew up with my grandfather who owned a printshop and the town newspaper. Did a 6-year stint in the Navy. Thought I wanted to be an architect but chose Industrial Design. There isn't anything else I see myself doing.

I love the outdoors. I love biking (on- and off-road), camping (primitive-ish), hiking, tennis and skiing. I dig a swanky club or a great restaurant but gas station burritos have a certain appeal as well. I'm open to anything. (We'll call that a "diverse palette.)

I play guitar and bass, and when the mood strikes, a buddy of mine and I pop in and play at various open stages. Fun and cathartic.

I like to get my "geek" on. (Yes, I played Dungeons and Dragons as a kid. Sorry.) I'm a SciFi fan, but Michael Bay wears on me. I'm all about a good story. I love the question, "What if?" So I'll take a Gattaca (they casted freakin' Gore Vidal for christ's sake,) over Transformers any day.

I don't enjoy heated debates about politics or religion. I generally vote "Democrat" since I'm definitely a socially liberal progressive.

This is long enough already...
I hate to be called a "nice guy" but I usually am. I tend to care for, and put others before myself. I hold doors. I say "please" and "thank you." I do not appreciate rudeness.
What I’m doing with my life
I've worked independently for years. I've had many, many clients in many different fields and industries; and searching for more. (so, if you have lead to pass on... yeah, mmm... that'd be great... ;)

I want to be in on the "next big thing," TBD. But I keep on keepin' on in the interim.
I’m really good at
Design and print. Love it. Live it. Grew up around it and I guess it rubbed off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I honestly have no idea. Perhaps my dry sense of humor. (I have Monty Python to blame for shaping my 13-year old psyche.)

These are but samples. I like "smart" things. (I enjoyed "There's Something About Mary" too, so, go figure.)
Six things I could never do without
1. My daughter. She's my biggest fan. And I'm hers.
2. My Coffee (For the love of all that is holy, don't take my joe! :)
3. My guitars. (My avocation and catharsis.)
4. My Mac (It's how I make my money.)
5. My paycheck
6. My family. They're there for me when others aren't.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do when I grow up.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home. My Friday nights are really nothing special right now. (Which I hope to change very, very soon...)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Wouldn't be private then, would it?
You should message me if
You're intrigued and would like to learn more. :)
