My self-summary
Few things make me happier than ridiculously hot hot sauce, bass solos, progressive rock and metal, bacon, Salvador Dali, maps, population statistics, Objectivism, studying animation, game design, cult films, and divisive video games.

My primary passions are music, video games (making them, playing them, studying them...), and 3D modeling. I play bass, have very diverse and somewhat eclectic musical tastes, and I regularly attend concerts.

I hate being stationary for long periods of time. I regularly go on random walks or drives around Atlanta whenever I have time to spare.

I've never been known to turn down an opportunity to go on a road trip. My favorite so far was a road trip to Dallas, TX with some friends to see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater.

I hope to one day bicycle to California, either by my own effort or by being tied to the back of a Volkswagen van.
What I’m doing with my life
I also work as a Marketing Success Manager at a marketing software company. I do commission photography and art on occasion, drive random places whenever the opportunity arises, and try to regularly expose friends to new films, games, and music.
I’m really good at
directions and geography
appreciating absurd things
breathing air
straight talk
literalizing figures of speech
making puns
The first things people usually notice about me
my mustache or my shirts.
I also receive compliments on my eyes fairly often.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books (and graphic novels):
Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, 1984, The Count of Monte Cristo, Brave New World, A Confederacy of Dunces, The Road, Harry Potter series, most works by Kafka, Poe, and H.P. Lovecraft, Oryx and Crake, A Clockwork Orange, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Prey, Lord of the Rings, World War Z, the Zombie Survival Guide, A Prayer for Owen Meany, I am America (and So Can You), Watchmen, V for Vendetta, etc

The Wall, Blade Runner, Jacob's Ladder, anything David Lynch, Phantom of the Paradise, El Topo, A Clockwork Orange, The City of Lost Children, The Big Lebowski, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Forbidden Zone, Videodrome, Scott Pilgrim v the World, various other good and atrocious movies (Class of Nuke 'em High, anyone?)

As far as genres are concerned, I'll listen to pretty much anything except most modern pop and hip hop/rap. Some of my favorite bands/artists are The Protomen, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Faith No More, King Crimson, Mr. Bungle, Oingo Boingo, Kyuss, Infectious Grooves, The Beatles, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Cake, Alice in Chains, They Might Be Giants, Devo, The Residents, Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age, Dead Kennedys, Tool and XTC.

pretty much anything except Brussels sprouts
I have a sizeable hot sauce collection, have several chili awards, and probably eat more yogurt than the rest of Atlanta combined.
Six things I could never do without
a lack of robot overlords
hot sauce
various atomic bonding processes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
worthless superpowers, such as the ability to make a person contemplate the number 2.
collision detection
why things that undergo fusion fuse, but things that undergo fission don't fiss
On a typical Friday night I am
putting the final touches on a project or hanging out with my friends, which usually entails watching a movie and/or playing video games or Munchkin. Occasionally I will go to concerts or hang out in Little Five Points.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I prefer Chinese Democracy over older Guns 'n' Roses albums.
You should message me if
