My self-summary
(Should start with saying that, at the moment, I am only looking for friends. I am poly, but I would like to and need to spend the time developing the relationships I have!)

I write flash fiction, design board games, ride a bicycle, play four square, go camping, read book after book, dance poorly but enthusiastically, and love my friends. Honesty and earnestness are two virtues I always strive for.

I love experiencing other people's creative works, ranging from art museums, to street theater, to indie video games.
What I’m doing with my life
I am, temporarily, a mortgage analyst who is, fortunately, designing board games in my spare time. I am interested in how people learn through play, and hope to develop those skills in grad school if I can see it leading to a clear career path.
I’m really good at
Dialogue facilitation, empathy, editing, cheerful service.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am most often told I have nice eyes. Other than that, I have no idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (and most anything by Chabon), Work (by Studs Terkel), Actual Air, Don Quixote, anything by Italo Calvino, Alan Moore's run of Swamp Thing, Les Miserables, Lord of the Flies, The Dresden Files, Transmetropolitan, etc. etc..

Movies: Independence Day, The Gates of Heaven (Errol Morris), Clue, Goert Man Loei, Tangled, anything with Buster Keaton

Shows: The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Breaking Bad, Star Trek (TNG and DS9)

Music: Man Man, Man or Astroman?, Wolf Parade, Bad Religion, Wolfgang Gartner, Phoenix, Janelle Monae, Hockey, anything from Champaign-Urbana Illinois, Joy Division, too many to name, but these are my staples at the moment

Food: Thai food, very flavorful stuff, don't have a subtle palate
Six things I could never do without
Judging by people's responses to this question, they should just make this "6 things you like." In the spirit of more information:

1. A good book
2. Spirited and opinionated discussion
3. Hugs
4. My brother
5. Board games
6. Thai food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Generally: Board game design, feminist philosophy, the connections between things, the importance of empty space

Lately: Motivational inertia, Lakes of Fire and Burners, kickstarter
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends doing whatever they want to do. I am fine staying in and playing board games, and I like going out to new places.

I dance a lot now. Loves me some dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have many secrets (if any). Ask, and you will almost certainly get a kind answer, if not the one you wanted.
You should message me if
You want to try something that neither of us has done before.

You want a partner in crime.
The two of us
