My self-summary
I believe in honesty, respect, & living simply so that others may simply live. I like cooking, gardening, hiking/taking walks, maps, politics, writing, & learning about about urban design/development (in both the physical & cultural senses). Photography is my favorite form of art. I just really enjoy pictures & the stories or beauty that they tell. I'm also vegan, but that's a personal choice & I really don't care what you eat. I'm an animal welfare advocate & kind of a foodie. Politically, I'm a socialist.

Although I'm pretty opinionated & steadfast in my beliefs, my mind is always open to reason & other perspectives. In fact, discovering how others interpret the world & attempting to understand why they've arrived at their conclusions thrills me. Everyone has a past full of stories that shape his perception & I want to hear them! I do have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve. That's not always a good thing, but we've all got bad habits.

I am adventurous, intuitive, & kind-hearted. INFP here for those who are curious.
What I’m doing with my life
I manage digital marketing and communication, some event planning and execution, and a bit of networking and cultivation for a non-profit animal welfare organization (too many hats, really). It's pretty stressful, somewhat erratic, & consumes a lot of my time, but I've always wanted to work for the betterment of society, not just a paycheck.
I’m really good at
Writing, listening & giving advice, navigation, drinking, anticipating questions before they're asked, kissing, conquering the internet, listening to NPR, & having private bedroom dance parties
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes or my beard, but I'll leave it up to you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, The Giver, On Liberty ...honestly I read more articles than I do books.

Movies: Y Tu Mamá También, Moonlight, Get Out, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Big Fish, Wizard of Oz (including adaptations), disaster flicks, and anything with a dystopian/sci-fi theme.

Shows: I usually just have it on in the background, but I do like Orphan Black, Roseanne, America's Test Kitchen, Cutthroat Kitchen, Stranger Things, The OA, The Simpsons, PBS documentaries.

Music: Frank Sinatra, Sylvan Esso, Duke Dumont, M.I.A., El Vy, Kygo, Alanis Morissette, Fitz & the Tantrums, deadmau5, The Streets, MGMT, Run The Jewels, Big Grams, Glass Animals, The Strokes, Chuck Berry, Grimes, LCD Soundsystem, Foster the People, and a lot of others (though my favorites are constantly changing). I've currently been on a 50's and 90's kick.

Food: almonds, spinach, broccoli, pierogis, tofu, popcorn, brussel sprouts, curly fries, nooch, various curries, Spak Brothers, & Apteka. The spicier, the better!
Six things I could never do without
I've learned to do without most things, but here are some favorites of mine.
* in no particular order
1. Cats and wildlife
2. Fresh cut flowers on my kitchen window sill.
3. Wikipedia
4. Laughing
5. Coffee
6. Maps
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Responsible urban development, the economic class system enforced by under-regulated capitalism, the best ways to use ingredients in my kitchen to avoid food waste, and how to make the world a better place.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday differs from any other day? Ha! One might find me with my pals vodka and Netflix or Hulu, working, or possibly at a small party. Sucks to this question and to your assmar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Truth be told: I really just want to fucking cuddle, you guys.
You should message me if
You're grounded, but not afraid to have fun and push boundaries when a situation calls for it. If you're vegetarian or vegan and/or love animals, you go to the top of the list. Beards are also appreciated. Just try to be a gentleman & I'm sure we'll get along.
