I play violin in a couple of amateur orchestras; the Union Chapel is my favourite music venue.
Kinda enjoy photography, drawing and print-making. I'm not artistic in the slightest but the results give me a good giggle and the creative process helps me escape the daily routine.
Totally recommend drinking mojitos in a herb garden during a summer thunderstorm.
The Wasp Factory, Iain Banks

Lordy, where to start...Rock, folk, classical, funk.... I have varied tastes and stray regularly from the mainstream.
I make an annual pilgrimage to WOMAD. Among my favourite discoveries are:
Rodrigo & Gabriela
The Very Best
The East Pointers
Currently listening to a lot of: Mathew & the Atlas, Shovels & Rope, White Buffalo.
Some other favs are: Civil Wars, Mumford, Frank Turner, Nigel Kennedy (I make no apologies), Pink Martini, Hidden Orchestra, Saint Germain, the Kinks, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Britpop and a bunch of others from across genres, across the globe and through the ages. Last gig I went to was Florence and the Machine at St John's, Hackney. I much much much prefer small venues.
80% pescatarian. Simply don't eat that much meat. Prefer fish over steak. But I won't be offended in the slightest and will happily tuck in if anything animal-based is served up at a dinner party.
Fav foods (generally): Thai, Vietnamese, sushi.
Fav foods (specifically): halloumi, plum sauce, mango chutney. And cake. I love cake.

Life in the mountains.
Life as a marine biologist.
Life as a yoga teacher.
Just so we're all clear and to answer some questions I regularly get asked:
I am not a yoga teacher
Nor am I a marine biologist.
And for that matter, I am not a dachshund.
