My self-summary

I have many amazing stories from many adventures.

I am a person who likes to do an enormous variety of things. I tend to hang with folks in Seattle social circles ranging from uber geeks to roller derby folk to burners to gypsy-hobo-sideshow-accordion playing maniacs with soldering irons. There is a lot I like and have in common with a lot of people!

So maybe instead I'll save you trouble and let you know my least favorite things.

I dislike most Sports, sports on TV, seriously religious people, serious conservative people, people who want children... and serious people in general.

I like most things related to spaceflight, orbital mechanics, obsolete punctuation marks and baking. I like to fly and would like to get back into flying sailplanes again. I try to combine these things whenever possible.

I am looking for friends, etc. I am silly and do not take philosophical questions too seriously.

I am Tall, Geeky, and Adjective-y.

Irish Language! And other languages sometimes!

I know who you really are in life isn't what you have done per se, however I've been involved in many things from fossil excavation with the National Parks Service to living and working at a Shinto Shrine for a year. I am not yet bored enough to list other random fun facts yet.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been in Seattle for about 7 years after living in several states. I hope to meet new friends, as I don't know too many people here at the moment! They ones I do know however are pretty awesome. I am a poly person who is currently seeing someone and open to meeting people, seeing and doing new things.

I came to Seattle after working with the National Park Service in museum collections, fossils and sometimes sciency things.
I’m really good at
Being able to talk about a myriad of strange topics for hours on end. I have never met nor lived with anyone who I have ever ran out of things to talk about with.

Orbital Mechanics

Playing many strange instruments

Amature science

Operating very old typewriters

Museum collections

Too many other things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am 6'5", so that is the first thing. Let me think about it..

Maybe, when I play battleship, I always put the boats on the edges.

Currently I no longer have blue hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
For books, I would say my favorite authors are Yukio Mishima, Alan Watts, Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Joseph Campbell among many others. My favorite books though are 1930's - 1950's science books about rocketry, harnessing the power of the atom, or how it is impossible to send men into space. I also like old encyclopedias. James Thurber is good too.

For music, I like the 1920's and 30's, but also the Russian and German composers of classical music, Russian, Irish language and classical Chinese music. I also like anything strange like novelty bands from the past 70 years, and other generally weird stuff. As far as individual singers, etc. Probably Vladimir Vysotsky is the best for me. I do not much care for modern music, I couldn't really carry on a conversation about anything from the past 15 years. I like to play balalaika, erhu, tin whistle, keyboard, and a variety of odd homemade instruments.

Food? I don't think I have ever encountered something I wasn't willing to eat. I like Japanese and Korean food the best, but I also like to bake and cook things on my own.

Movie wise, I like terrible movies, i.e., anything Japanese 1950's-60's Sci-fi, etc. I don't particularly like serious movies. Kurosawa is good too. And most Christopher Guest movies.

If I am watching TV, it is usually something absurd like Jewelry TV or a 24 hour knife auction show. But TV series, podcasts, or anything with Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington are great as well.
Six things I could never do without
Could change daily.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The great people on

On a typical Friday night I am
I don't know what I'm doing an hour from now.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was once the chief science officer of our starship, when I was in Starfleet.....
You should message me if
You are a silly, odd, intelligent, weird, cool person and generally dislikes people who love to have tons o' babbies, go to football games, watch nascar, and take religion seriously.
