According to the MBTI, I'm an ENFP-T. Not a 100% match - naturally, I'm a unique and very special snowflake - but still surprisingly accurate overall.
Also, looking at all the gender options offered here nowadays, I feel somewhat inferior. I'm neither a gender fluid Two-Spirit nor a Sweet Transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania - I regret to inform you that I'm just a straight white guy.
I'm here because I'm looking for something with long-term potential. I'm also leaving "Looking for new friends" active because I don't want to discard a nice message just because it came from across the globe :).
I spend most of my free time doing all the music stuff. Listening, playing, composing, discovering, rehearsing, recording.
• Music. Guitar, Bass, Keyboard/Piano, Vocals. I did all kinds of music stuff in the past (Choir, Musicals, (Big)Bands...) and I'm currently active in 2 bands. I haven't been part of any well-known projects and I'm not having illusions of grandeur and becoming a rock star, but I will continue to put a considerable amount of my free time into making music, because potatoes gonna potate.
I also excel at overthinking all the things, trusting and opening up to the wrong people and aspiring to weird ideals that are both unachievable and in no way beneficial for my mental health. Yay!
Ever go out with friends, lose track of them for a few seconds and then can't find anyone because it's super crowded? It doesn't have to be this way: Just take me along - the blond hair and increased height ensure immediate detectability in almost all lighting conditions and crowd compositions.
Metal. Rock. Pop. Electro. Progressive and complex structures? Great! More straight forward songs with all the melodies? Also great! Both? Greatest. In other words: I don't care much about genres - if it's good, it's good. A selection of current favorites: BOY, Animals As Leaders, I The Mighty, Jinjer, CHVRCHES, Involvers, Wolf Alice.
All-Time favourites include dredg, Nine Inch Nails, Coheed And Cambria, Katatonia, Opeth, Paradise Lost, The Birthday Massacre.
Movies / TV Shows / Series
More into series than movies because I like epic plot arcs and interesting character development, which is mostly very difficult to condense down to movie length. But to name a few anyway: Basically all Christopher Nolan movies (The Prestige!), Harry Potter Part 3+. Aditionally I'll probably enjoy all the Post Apocalyptic, Steampunk/Cyberpunk and Dystopia-themed stuff.
All-time favorite show: Veronica Mars. Also good: Buffy, Game of Thrones (Yes, House Targaryen, that should not come as a surprise :D), Stargate, Deep Space Nine, Jessica Jones, New Girl, Rick and Morty. If some of the usual suspects seem to be missing here: Laugh tracks are not for me.
Because why not, here's a random selection of YouTube folk I fancy: Rob Scallon, Anna Akana, You Suck At Cooking, Savannah Brown, Rob Chapman, Dodger...
Ergo Proxy, Last Exile, Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost In The Shell, Claymore, Noein, Darker Than Black. I haven't really watched a lot of Anime recently so I'm not really up to date anymore - feel free to bombard me with suggestions!
xkcd, Poorly Drawn Lines, Loading Artist, Hejibits, nichtlustig, Sarah's Scribbles, Pepper & Carrot, Fail by Error...
I'm hilariously untalented when it comes to painting / drawing and you probably won't run into me at the nearest art exhibition, but surreal paintings still seriously tickle my fancy; for example Geiger, Dalí and especially Beksiński.
Everything The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, The Longest Journey, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Portal, Dishonored. Recent favorites include Transistor, Life Is Strange, The Talos Principle, The Swapper, FEZ, Dust, Dex. Really looking forward to playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Not a big fan of most seafoods and "high caliber meat" like steaks. Other than that pretty much anything. I started to pick up cooking some time ago and can actually produce a few edible dishes by now.
• Coffee / Tea
• Moist towelettes
• Colorful blinking gadgets
Also, because current: Brexit. I know that the EU isn't the solution to everything and the bureaucracy is too damn high at times, but is that enough reason to endanger everything Europe has worked for over the past couple of decades? Did the majority of Brits seriously believe the bullshit those twats Farage and Johnson were proclaiming? Oh well. Ultimately it's just the first big bang in the wake of rising nationalism all over the world. I fear there'll be a lot more bangs before people start to remember why we started this EU thing in the first place :(.
Not convinced? Okay, okay... Probably rehearsal, sometimes actually combined with doing the going out thing afterwards, but mostly it's just video games, watching series and doing internet stuff.
I'm looking forward to receiving all kinds of messages! I can't see likes, so please don't hesitate to throw a few words at me as well :). Englisch oder Deutsch, vollkommen egal - It's all the same to the Many-Faced God.
You have arrived at the bottom of my profile. Thanks for visiting and actually reading some of the word things I put on here; please accept this bad pun as a parting gift: http://i.imgur.com/O9kydha.gif
