What I’m doing with my life
During the week, I’m an IT solutions architect & tech entrepreneur. I’m sure you’d love to hear all the ins-and-outs of my typical day… but I’ll spare you the 169-slide PowerPoint will all the details. For now. 😉

When the weekend shows up, you’ll find me hiking & camping around NZ with a fairly large backpack, running & trying to beat my 5km time, sharpening my skydiving skills at Masterton, skiing at Ruapehu or checking out a live gig with friends. It’s not a proper weekend if your heart isn’t beating a little faster, right?

I’m super close with my sister and parents, so we grab dinner and drinks together a few times a month.
I’m really good at
Acting as an unlicensed, untrained therapist for my friends.

Finding an excuse to get a new power tool.
The first things people usually notice about me
Recently, someone I’d just met told me that my eye contact felt like I was listening to their soul.

Someone else, after I've told them I've done 400+ skydives, told me that I'm a "crazy motherfucker".

What does that mean?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I’m very eclectic when it comes to food. Love a well presented and tasty Italian & Mediterranean dinner. Sushi, Thai & Mexican are also in the list :)

When it comes to music, I'm usually listening to 80’s and 90’s grunge & rock. That said, my music taste never prevented me from learning how to dance salsa :P :)

Usually I listen to Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Oasis, Weezer, Alanis, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Iron Maiden, JK, Bjork, The Killers, Stereophonics, Jet, Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, BOY, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Kaiser Chiefs, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Citizens!, Travis, Puddle of Mudd, Garbage, Silverchair, Bush, Audioslave, The Fray, Guns N' Roses, Incubus, Keane, The Kooks, Maroon 5, Fun. One Republic, Radiohead, Queen, Rise Against, Supergrass, The xx, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 3 Doors Down, The All American Rejects, Beach Boys, Ben Harper, Cake, Flight of the Conchords, TV on the Radio...

I'm always reading non-fiction & articles. Recently I've started listening to audio-books during my daily commute; great way to digest a book or two every week.

Some authors include Carl Sagan, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Hermann Hesse, Alan Watts, Tim Ferris, Michio Kaku, heaps more
Six things I could never do without
The cold air and adrenaline rush that hits my heart every time I open the airplane door before jumping out of it.

The method for understanding how stars died so you could live.

The gratitude of seeing a smile on my parents faces every time I see them.

Experimenting and doing things I've never imagined doing when I was a child.

Listening to what my friends have been doing, how they feel and seeing them smile.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How some couples can share a life together despite one or both being liars

If there's someone else that thinks like I do about relationships, teamwork and honesty

The answer to questions about life, the universe and everything…
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't have typical Fridays. It really depends on what's happening in the city and what I've chosen to do.

If I could draw a pattern; after dodging office drinks, I usually go out to catch up with close friends at our secret spot on Courtenay Place.

If Saturday plans involve getting up early for skydiving, scuba or sailing, I'd head home and get my rig prepared.
