My self-summary
Here are a few tidbits about me:

I love letters and numbers.
Compassion is my favorite virtue.
The number I'm thinking of is three.
What I’m doing with my life
I get paid to write. Life is good.

Most people want to conquer the world. I'd rather share it. In other words, let's play co-op, not competitive.
I’m really good at
listening; telling stories; solving BIG problems; tickling your pleasure center; helping you reach your potential, winning over your family, friends and colleagues; mixing cocktails; planning adventures

Here are some items I plan on adding to that list:

vegetarian cooking, yoga, tai chi, meditation, software scripting, pixel art
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm often laughing. Send in the clowns, I say.

My beard is an Etch a Sketch of facial hair. Sometimes, I shake things up. And don't worry: I take requests. After all, it's just hair.

I love dressing up. As a result, people raid my closet for Halloween costumes and job interviews.

Professional and cultural settings: Shaved head. Vest. Tie.

Elsewhere: My urban safari gear. I love to explore, and I prefer to walk.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My primary literary influences: Hunter S. Thompson, Andrew Sullivan, Christopher Hitchens, Matt Taibbi, Trey Parker and George Orwell.

Books: This list is from several years ago. I've long since lost the ability to track all my favorite books. Plus, I'm a huge fan of short-form writing, so consider this a sample rather than an overview. 1984, Alice In Wonderland, The Big Sleep,Coyotes: A Journey Through the Secret World of America's Illegal Aliens, Deliberate Prose, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas, Fight Club, Food Court Druids, Frankenstein, Generation X, Good Omens, The Great Gatsby, Hell's Angels, Life After God, Lord of the Rings, Lullaby, Lyrical Ballads, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, Mere Christianity, Microserfs, Paradise Lost, Reefer Madness, Shampoo Planet, Songs of Innocence and of Experience, World War Z, The Zombie Survival Guide

In case you're curious, I'm currently reading The Signal and the Noise by Nate Silver. Read it, and chances are you'll be the smartest one in the room--at least when it comes to statistics.

Movies: I enjoy stimulating films from many genres, but it's the high-quality pulps that bring me the most joy. More noir coming soon. 28 Days Later, Adaptation, Apocalypse Now, Aliens, Army of Darkness, Barbarella, The Big Lebowski, The Big Sleep, Black Dynamite, Blade 2, Bloodsport, Bubba Ho-Tep, Casablanca, Cat Ballou, Chinatown, Conan the Barbarian, Crippled Masters, Dr. Strangelove, Drunken Master, The Empire Strikes Back, Enter the Dragon, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Evil Dead, The Evil Dead II, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Gangs of New York, The Godfather, Hero, Inglourious Basterds, Kill Bill, The King of Kong, Kung Fu vs. Yoga, Lord of the Rings, The Maltese Falcon, Memento, Network, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Ninja vs. Mafia, No Country for Old Men, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, On the Waterfront, Ong Bak, Predator, Pulp Fiction, Rambo: First Blood, Return of the Jedi, Reservoir Dogs, Road to Perdition, The Road Warrior, Rocky IV, Seven Samurai, Shaun of the Dead, The Shining, Sin City, Star Wars, A Streetcar Named Desire, Superfly, Taxi Driver, Terminator II, Thank You for Smoking, There Will Be Blood, The Thin Man, The Truman Show, Wall-E, The Warriors, The Wrestler, Up

Foods: I'm a vegetarian. Don't worry: I won't try to convert you to my dietary cult as long as you don't expect me to eat pizza that was once covered with little bits of roadkill.
Six things I could never do without
Beauty, Nature, Knowledge, Love, Expression, and Pizza. Because it's awesome and satisfies me on so many levels.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
everything. I'm an abstract thinker with an overclocked brain, so I crave mental stimulation. This also leads me to get easily distracted. Don't take it personally. Instead, imagine me as an adorable puppy dog who likes chasing thoughts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Owning in RL. Or watching Netflix. One of the two.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm allergic to cats, yet I have great chemistry with cat owners.

I'm a recovering over-achiever.
You should message me if
If you look better than me in a dress...

If E3 and The Economist had a daughter, she'd be my dream girl.

In all seriousness, while I enjoy dating, I prefer monogamy.

I dig intelligence, passion, craftiness and altruism. (I know the latter two are often at odds.) If you possess at least two of these attributes, we'd probably have a delightful time together.
The two of us
