My self-summary
I'm a bit of a nerd, I suppose, in that I work with computers and like playing xbox. I'm much more at home with just relaxing, drinking wine and talking endlessly than really loud pubs.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software programmer. Finally got myself on the property ladder, too, so now saving up to get everything perfect.
I’m really good at
Buying things I don't need. I'm currently teaching myself to play bass guitar, after buying one on a massive whim about six years ago, being terrible at it and giving up almost immediately. Been playing for about three months now so I'm doing pretty good!
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile a lot, even if it's a slightly maniacal smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The House of Leaves, Small Gods, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Mother Tongue (Bill Bryson)

Movies: Mulholland Drive, Blade Runner, Before Sunrise, Aliens, Casablanca, The Exorcist.

TV: Twin Peaks, Carnivàle, X-Files, Game of Thrones, Archer, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Music (in no particular order): Tom Waits, The Flaming Lips, Soul Coughing, Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Ben Folds, Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Nina Simone, MGMT The Beatles, Blur, PJ Harvey, David Bowie, Violent Femmes, Nirvana, Leonard Cohen.

Food: I am a fiend for curry. The hotter the better!
Six things I could never do without
Wine, my music collection, occasional clothes-shopping trips, a word processor, money, my handful of awesome friends that put up with me for some reason.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Robots and their inevitable infiltration of society.

Well, not really, but that's kinda cool.
On a typical Friday night I am
I usually stay home on Fridays to have drinks with friends. It's cheaper, and there's always Saturday for when we feel like going out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry at the movie Dead Poets Society. Every time.
You should message me if
You've bothered to read this far. Talking to me will probably be more interesting than reading this. I hope.
