My self-summary
I'm Ryan and I never really know what to say for these sort of things because I never know if I'm giving good representation for who I really am. But here goes.

I went to Columbus College of Art and Design studying video and film production. So I'm big into movies. Really, I'm big into all things creative and artist. I like to draw and I've dappled in things like photography and graphic design. I was also a writing minor with and interest in screenwriting. So really what it comes down to is I like expressing myself and telling stories.

Growing up, I've always had an interest in things like animals, nature and science. So I'm really interested in learning more about things like that. One of my personality traits is whenever in get interested or passionate about something, I tend to want to learn everything I can about it. Even if it's like a historical figure or event, I just need to know everything I can about it.

I am a practicing Christian, but I'm not an uptight, Ned Flanders type and I am pretty open minded and logical with things. I believe that science and religion are not enemies and there are some idea that can work together. I still believe in evolution and that the world is older than four thousand years but I also feel that something had to bang the big bang and sent things into motion and I feel that was God. I only go into detail with this because I don't want to come off as ignorant or uneducated by saying I believe in a high power. I know people can be put off by it. Ideally can meet someone who is, if not Christian, is at least open minded to some of the ideas to religion.

That basically covers I think the main elements of my life. I'm sure that there's probably a lot more I'm forgetting, so if you're wondering about something feel free to ask.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm doing a lot of freelance stuff in the video field to build up a portfolio and resume. I discovered a couple summer ago that people are willing to spend stupid amounts of money for portraits of their pets, so that's something I've been doing as well. I'm also always doing my best to grow in my spiritual walk. There are ups and downs, like with anyone but I'm always actively looking for ways to move forward.
I’m really good at
I guess just being creative and imaginative as a whole. I like to draw, shoot and edit videos and I try to do a little writing (although I think I could improve a lot with that.) I had a friend describe me as "the idea guy" before, so That's probably my biggest talent.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not really sure. I've been compliment on my eyes before so maybe that. I can shy at first, so that's something else that might stand out to people. But I do open up after a while. If under the right circumstances and someone is meeting me while I have a project out or some artwork, that is defiantly something they'll notice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Footprints of Thunder, The Relic, Jurassic Park, any film book or "Art of," and any others that I'm forgetting to mention.

Movies: Since I was a film major, my taste in movies is pretty broad. I like anything from like indie, art house, Criterion Collection titles to a good (guilty pleasure) Freddy or Jason movie. Basically I could have a favorite movies list that goes on forever, so I'll just go with say that "Jaws" is my favorite movie. It's a very important peace in film history and I'm convinced you could teach everything you'd need to know in a film class using only it as an example for everything.

Show: I don't really watch that much tv honestly but my favorite show, since I grew up with it is "The Simpsons" although I must say it should have been canceled like 10 seasons ago.

Music: Like movies, my taste is pretty board. I'll list to things like movie scores to some metal. I think I listen to alternative rock more than anything. The best example that comes to mind is R.E.M.
Six things I could never do without
A sketchbook
Family and friends
Faith/God's grace
My videocamera
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future, friendships, how I can try and better myself as a person, different creative projects whether it's a drawing I could start or a story I could be working on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Taking it easy and relaxing at home or meeting up with a friend for a hangout, movie or whatever else might be going on. It all depends on how I'm feeling and what I have lined up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It's not really private I guess, but I've been know to put my foot in my mouth and say some really stupid things at inappropriate times. I look back life and those are always the moments I regret most.
