My self-summary
Hi, I'm Ryan.
I am an athlete, a nerd, a saver, a creative, a green thumb, a leader, a party starter, a traveler, and a supporter of the oxford comma.

OKC seems to think I'm this super type-A dynamo, which I don't think is 100% true [only 99%], but I'll take it.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved from San Diego to Dallas with my job (Program Manager at tech company). Been exploring Dallas and enjoying city life while I'm young and carefree.

Working to make/keep my life simple, cost effective, and creative. Not trying to die at a desk, you know. Financial independence and freedom from money are big goals of mine. Not that I don't want to work necessarily, but to have my basic needs covered would allow me to be very prudent over the types of work I do and not who pays the most per hour of my life.

Graduated with a Bioengineering BS. Career is taking a different turn, but it sounds good right?

Working on myself. Doing a lot of reading and studying on topics I enjoy.

Well traveled and looking to continue. Continuing to fly around the country when I can.
I’m really good at
Staying organized and keeping life balanced

Water-based sports: rowing, kayaking, swimming, polo, water skiing, ect. May have a little merman in my blood.

Being positive: I'm generally optimistic about life and don't see a reason to stop. I've loved every phase of my life so far and enjoy growing as a person. I am excited for the next chapters of my life and what new stories/experiences they will bring. I have been doing a lot of self-study on positive psychology.

Collecting nicknames: I am known by many names by my friends.

Devouring pints of berries... YUM

Making games: Board games, card games, dice games. That kind of thing. Nothing at publishing levels yet, but may great failures!

My friends and I are making a book once we make 21 of our own drinking games (at like 10 now). We are a little too competitive.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
World building novels which generally means sci-fi or fantasy.
Early Retirement Extreme - Systems think book with an alternative view of success
Books on business, economics, philosophy have been the focus of my recent reading. I try to read a lot. I never regret a good book.

Movies:
Animated movies are my favorite. Ex) Lego Movie, Up, Frozen, Toy Story, Lion King, ect.

Shows:
Rick and Morty
Some netflix series

Food:
Cooking is a fun way to decompress after work, plus there is something special about eating what you made. I have home cooked food 95% of the time. Plus I'm getting really good at it and the food I make is super healthy!
The six things I could never do without
Exercise: makes everything better with endorphins
Music: Big EDM and trance fan. Its so moving and uplifting. Also chillstep, melodic dubstep, and similar. Thanks to youtube - all very accessible!
Games: like video games, board games, or card games. I get my competition on!
People: I love meeting new people. I can be a bit of a social butterfly and I love it.
Work/Life & Social/Alone-time balance. Gotta keep it all in check. Work hard first, play harder
Nature: Outdoors, hiking, fresh air, animals, ect. I will definitely stop to smell the roses :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What would I do if money was no object?

The the cool stories I'm building now that I can inappropriately blurt out at family gatherings and everyone just goes "oh grandpa".

The best and most awesome comeback/response to conversations long past

Where I want to live next. Dallas is awesome, but I still want to move around the country a bit (in like 1-3 years) if its in the cards. Have been honestly considering what life would be like in an RV for a half-year country tour... would need a full-remote job though.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends! Trying new venues in Deep Ellum or out dancing all the try-hards in Uptown.
You should message me if
You have you life together and think we might vibe well.

Are looking for a peer in a partner.

Are financially responsible with your money.

Take care of yourself (fitness, diet, mentally).
