My self-summary
I haven't updated this in a while. I'm 22 and graduated with a bachelors of science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I'm comfortable where I am in life, and am currently seeking employment. I plan to return to school within a year or so to work on my master's.

Hi! I'm 21 years of age and a senior in mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Classes are usually difficult and I find myself lacking in the time department more than I should, but I'm managing. I hang out with my friends on campus as much as I can, but its difficult since I live off-campus. I am a fan of meeting new people, but being in engineering classes is somewhat limiting (total of 4 females in all of my classes this semester). I'm not sure what I expect from this site, but I think its more adapted to meeting new people as opposed to something like facebook. Facebook is useful for keeping up with people you already know. Shoot me a message.

On a side note (for parties concerned) I had the beard while I was in Europe (in May 2012) and it comes and goes as often as I get bothered to look nice or top being a caveman. I am in no way attached to that look xD

On another side note (for other parties concerned) I don't intentionally creep on anyone's page if you notice me visiting. I wind up really bored throughout the day, and seek relief from the internet. Sometimes I find myself watching a video while idly poking through this website. If I appear to be a particularly enthusiastic visitor it probably means I've started typing you a message, but then lost my train of thought or generally forgot how to start a conversation. This happens often, as the space inside my dank basement and the area beneath my car are not ideal places to keep the rust off my social skills. Forgive me.
What I’m doing with my life
For the last three years I've been working on my bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. I try (and often fail) to balance education with video games and a social life. After I graduate I plan on seeking employment. Further education is an option, but it depends on where I end up! Also I really should get back into shape. I played soccer, tennis, and ran cross country at the same time during high school, but stopped when I started college classes. Sometimes its hard to get motivated though :D
I’m really good at
I played competitive tennis for a long time, and I consider myself to be adept. I also enjoy soccer. I played on recreational teams throughout high school and into freshman year of college.

I'm pretty good at video games as well.

Academically I do well with biology as well as physics. I'm not such a huge fan of higher level mathematics.

I also have a car hobby, so I consider myself fairly handy when it comes to those things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think as soon as I settle down people usually notice that I'm fairly talkative.

Sometimes there is a large furry animal with a death grip on the lower portion of my face. (the beard)

My eyebrows and my hair don't match.

I have blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoyed the "Wheel of time" series and then moved from that to the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. Both are fantasy series. Other than that I did read all of the Harry Potter series as well as some Clive Cussler books. Add select Tom Clancy, Stephen King, and Micheal Crichton books to that list. I have been inspired to read things of higher intellectual caliber, but generally all the things I read are for fun... and I don't usually think of classic literature as "fun". I've got a ton of Calvin and Hobbs collections as well as Shel Silverstein collections as well. They're in my "rainy day" pile.

As for movies, I really liked "Goldeneye". I also thought the lord of the rings saga was well done. "Ip Man" and the original "Ong-Bak" were phenomenal martial arts movies. I do movies other than action. I have inflicted "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on many of my friends over the years, and I have loved every minute of it. I don't actively seek animated films, but I cant say I don't usually enjoy them when I go. "Chick-flicks" I'm more wary of than most other types of movie, but honestly a lot of them are better than people (guys) make them out to be.

I don't really watch regular TV shows that much. I watched all 18 seasons of the British Top Gear though. I find stand-up comedy fairly entertaining as well. Recently I've been getting back into anime. I watch and enjoy a lot of the popular shows, but I don't actively follow any of them.

If I watch more than 5 seconds of a csi show I have to finish it...

I'm not picky on food. I've been known to experiment extensively in the kitchen to both disastrous and delicious ends, and if I actually follow a recipe I'm not half bad at the whole cooking thing :D
Six things I could never do without
I'm going to try to list 6 things without justifying them... but it'll be hard. Everyone who reads this stuff is going to judge me, and therefore I tend to want to explain myself...
IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER and I'll finish when I think of more stuff

2. Petrichor
3. laughter
4. Days when you have nothing to do
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This changes on a yearly basis, but currently I've got my eyes on the future. I really need to get in gear and line up some job opportunities as well as finish school.

On a less serious note, I tend to scheme up ridiculous ideas for whatever events are coming up. I tend to get really wrapped up in whatever gets put in front of me. So if there is a project, party, or planned event coming up I tend to think about it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually at home playing some games with my friends. If something is going on I'll venture outside, but I have yet to be clubbing or barhopping. I've been known to go sip a beer or mixed drink at a party, but I don't seek parties as an excuse to drink. Movies are also an acceptable Friday night outing as well as late-night car meets!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't like to think that I have anything terribly private, but if I do I certainly wouldn't broadcast it on the internet. That's a recipe for terrible things.
You should message me if
You want to have some form of (hopefully) reasonably entertaining conversation. I usually talk with pretty much anybody, but if I don't reply take no offense.
