My self-summary
So I grabbed my tablet to see what OKCupid was all about, then I realized it was an etch-a-sketch. ...also, I'm out of bourbon... :P

I'm Jay...a rare Nashville area native, starting fresh from a very long drawn out divorce.
Recently relocated back from NYC...BK, Wyckoff off the L! What's up!!
As much as I adore the Big Apple, there's just something to be said for being able to go outside barefoot and simply put ones toes in the grass. :)
Do have one 9 yr old son that lives with his mother on the other side of the world...no baby-mama drama...

I like to travel, non-work related, when possible...Italy is on my list for 2014. I love enjoying a quiet night at home of cooking a nice dinner and just hanging out as much as being out and about. I just like being...well...happy and satisfied. :) I go wherever when I feel like it and stay home when I don't.
I can never think of anything to say when asked to describe myself. I might think of myself as totally different than how someone else perceives me. Send me a message instead of just reading what I think you want to hear. :)
Of course, looking for that one best friend to share it all with, but my focus is to make some new friends since relocating back to TN and discover some new things and people....one step at a time. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Growing! I've tried to make it my business to chase my dreams and find them...well, most of them anyway. It's worked pretty well so far, but there's always more out there to get in to. :)
I've worn lots of hats...former NASCAR media driver, test driver for a major car magazine, ran a nightclub on Bourbon St in NOLA, worked in movies and television, and so on. "Retired" from concert touring (a "roadie", if you will.) I'm now working as a freelance Production Coordinator for live events...concerts, festivals, conventions, VIP events, fashion shows, movie premieres...as well as dabbling in local entrepreneurship and philanthropy. I'm active with St Judes charities, as well as a couple other smaller local programs.

But in general, I'm just being the best me I can be. :)

And yes, I really did graduate from Space Camp...when I was 12. Don't judge me. Lol!
I’m really good at
All the things a man should be good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
Bald head, of course.
That they didn't realize what a freak I really am since I tend to be so quiet and reserved.
After that, how inordinately friendly I tend to be...when I want to be.
I'm told I'm easy to talk to, get along with.
And honestly, I'm getting more and more nice booty compliments lately. Hahaha!!!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read whatever interests me at the time. Might be a comic book or magazine, might be "A Brief History of the Roman Empire", "How to Build an Engine"...or Harry Potter. lol!
I generally read for knowledge instead of entertainment though.

Movies, hmmm. Well, my degree is in film/video technology...so you'll either love or hate watching movies with me. More often than not I can tell you the entire plot line within the first 15 minutes...its all a well crafted formula, carefully honed over many, many years.

Music....anything I can feel...Bill Withers, Etta James, Ray Charles, Billy Paul, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Freddie King, Ozric Tentacles, Jack White, Dead Weather, Black Keys, AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Motorhead, Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, Stravinsky, Paganini, Tchaikovsky...I really do like just about anything.

There's so much I have done and do like, but I like finding new things to enjoy. :)
Show me something new. I may be able to do the same.
The six things I could never do without
-Phone...I refused to carry one for a long time. Now it's a must.
-Honesty...does this really need explaining?
-Solid friends...friends that couldn't bail you out of jail because they're right there with you. ;)
-A fabulous lady. I mean, really...who the hell wants to be alone in life, all the time? If you did, you wouldn't be here.
-sunglasses...staring into bright lights is sometimes a job requirement. Haha.
-a razor...gotta keep everything tight and clean, right?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything, and nothing. All at the same time. And kitties....and flowers, and shiny things....
Right now, thinking about the next opportunity.
Are you really still reading this? Oh just say hi already.
On a typical Friday night I am
No such thing as a typical Friday night. I never know where I'll be or what I'll be doing. Could be a rooftop in Manhattan or a ballroom in DC, cruising a back road in the middle of nowhere, the bar around the corner, or dinner and Netflix...who knows. I sure don't. If you've got a great idea, I'd love to hear it and meet you there. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
-that I've never been arrested...Records are for amateurs. ;)
-In-school suspension came about in TN because of me...true story.
-I get giddy like a 16 year old school girl about Katy Perry. Problem? I didn't think so.
-I'm a sucker for smilies and the ellipsis.
-I worked in the porn industry for about a year.
You should message me if
-If you have enough of a sense of humor that you're not taking yourself so seriously, much less me. So many seem so serious for all their talk of how funny and out-going they are.

-If you're not so lost in your life you expect someone else to do it for you. (ie, self stability...you've got some things going on in your life. I'll absolutely help my lady if she is truly in need, but I'm not a sugar daddy. )

-You're tired of reading my wall of text.

-You have a really awesome spot that you think I should experience, but doubt I'd find on my own....on a day/night out, I mean...maybe.

-If you're NOT insecure enough that you have a problem that I still have friends in a former line of employment in my "what will I admit" section.

-You want to have a better chance at surviving the zombie apocalypse.

...or if you would just like to say hi. That'd be fine too. Seriously, I'm pretty damn friendly. :D
