My self-summary
There once was a man named Nik,
With a mind sharp and a wit quick.
He fell into a cookie jar,
In the kitchen with a door ajar,
That's the price of playing treat or trick.
What I’m doing with my life
I keep a pretty busy social calendar! I'm a mentor in a local programming group and a team member in a local anime discussion group. As part of the latter, I run a recurring meetup for tabletop and social games. It's a really rewarding hobby that lets me cut loose and be a goofball, which I'm 1000% into.

I occasionally compose and play for the piano, and of late I've been making short video games.

Professionally, I do the thing where I type 01101000011010001000 into a computer and cool stuff happens.
I’m really good at
Mental math, public speaking, and discerning double-stuffed oreos from regular oreos at a glance.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Comedy:
Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, and Last Week Tonight.

Fantasy:
Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Undertale.
The Lies of Locke Lamora and Harry Potter.
One Piece, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Steven Universe.

Horror:
Lately, any news story about American or world politics.

Romance:
I'll list my favorite foods here, since food is love.
Pizza (like any good Chicagoan, I have strong opinions about deep dish pizza), greek, thai, and korean food. Show me a great restaurant that serves any of these cuisines and I will like you immediately.
Six things I could never do without
1. An assortment of caffeine-free teas.
2. The cold side of the pillow.
3. A notebook & pencil.
4. A d20.
5. Gratitude.
6. Whatever the opposite of "spiders" is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying out a new restaurant, playing board games, or ordering in and watching poor-quality youtube videos with friends.
You should message me if
Any of the following sound like fun date ideas to you:

1) Grabbing lunch / bubble tea in Chinatown, walking around in the park, and taking a ride on the water taxi.

2) Visiting the Aquarium, Planetarium, or the Field Museum, and then getting dinner.

3) Going on a hot chocolate and/or mozzarella stick crawl, while walking around the city and maybe catching some pokemon.
