I'm a quiet person until I warm up to someone. I don't seek to be the center of attention in a room. I'm content to quietly do my own thing. I can be a smart ass with a dry and at times blunt sense of humor. Usually this gets me in trouble because people don't realize I'm not being serious.
I work very hard and take my job very seriously. It isn't a high stress position and I enjoy it. I do struggle when it comes to taking time to slow down, relax and enjoy life outside of work. I need reminding to take time for myself.
I enjoy PC games, watching pro sports (Boston teams), nerdy/geeky movies and TV shows. I don't read as much as I should and watch way too much Netflix. Trying to stay active with my cobbled together home gym but lately I always have an excuse. I definitely need a kick in the butt to stay active.
-Reaching things on tall shelves.
-Making awkward and inappropriate jokes/comments.
-Creating a huge mess when I cook.
That I am shy but that changes once I get to know somebody. Also uncoordinated and awkward. I live in a world for normal sized people.
Some of the movies I currently own: Lord of the Rings, Batman, Matrix and Transformers trilogies, Harry Potter, Marvel movies, Super Troopers, Tron, Avatar, Hobbit, Zombieland. Sensing a theme here? Mainly enjoy scf-fi and action, little bit of drama and comedy.
Not big on watching TV because I don't have cable. Only shows I keep up on are The Flash, Arrow, Supernatural, Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family.
Don't have a favorite type of music or artist. My radio goes from 80s to current. Pop, hip-hop, classical, country, rock, electronic, etc.
In an effort to being healthier and after watching a number of documentaries I've become mostly vegetarian. Still have the occasional burger or chicken wing but 90% of the time vegetarian. It's not easy but I have felt healthier the last few months since making the change.
Why people at work seem to think I know what to do.
Where I can go on my next drive.
Why I return from the grocery store with pie all the time.
