My self-summary
Hello, name is Ian. I have many passions in life but my biggest are social inequality and sports. I graduated from Seattle University and want to go back there for grad school later this year for a Masters in Public Administration. After working for AmeriCorps last school year as a teachers assistant I saw how underfunded the public school system in this country is and I want to change it as much as possible.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a substitute instructional in Seattle Public Schools and loving every minute of it.
I’m really good at
Remembering useless information and (elementary school) Jeopardy.
The first things people usually notice about me
My red hair and blue eyes.

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm going to do now that I finished my Bachelors. Why greed consumes people so easily and why empathy is the exception and not the norm, especially for the wealthy. Why some people care about another persons right to marry someone whom they love. Why people are more compassionate towards those in their family, nation and color of skin. Is this compassion genetic or learned behavior?
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends and coworkers or being a couch potato watching tv.
You should message me if
You like gingers who are passionate about changing the world and who want to empower young people to realize their full potential.
