My self-summary
Hi and thanks for the visit. These days I can't see "Likes" so if you detect sparks please send me a message. And now, after exhaustive research, the survey results on what many people (me) say:
Clever, creative, confident
Educated, evolved, effervescent
Sane, seductive, successful
Motivated, miraculous, and (!) modest.

But enough about me. Wait, more you say?
Cheerful, playful, kindhearted, likes walks on the beach, hikes in the mountains, hummingbirds, unicorns-- no, yes, everyone says that...

Take the exit ramp right now because here's why I am probably not a good match for you: My politics might appear too far left, and I am not into organized religion so we can't really discuss Right Wing Crap, Creationism, Heaven... Although I WILL go off about The Trumpster !

Do NOT get me started.

I might be older than you and I don't have enough hair on top, but some on my face. Since I top out @ 5' 8" you might be taller than me and think of me as short. Could be an issue for you. I don't consume enough crap food, sugar, fake fat and additives... and I'm not really very good at drinking mass quantities.

Not really sure I believe in the whole Myers-Briggs thing but if you're really curious, I have data.

Most people find me somewhat intense, sensitive, thoughtful, honest and centered. I don't often act my age... I probably don't look it... but that's for you to decide, right?.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to stay current in the digital revolution: From my phone I can send a YouTube video to the Smart TV - pretty good trick.

Involved in media production; web work, documentary films, government & corporate videos, commercials, and interactive museum stuff. It's gratifying, challenging and rewarding.

Carbon footprint? Synthetics avoided whenever possible in what I wear, eat, and socialize with. Socks: cotton, bamboo; Shoes: some are recycled car tires; Bed sheets: birch bark fiber; Shirts: cotton or linen. Compulsive recycling.
I’m really good at
Simplifying technical stuff. Out of the box problem solving around the home and work. Fixing little things that break when no one else can. Making homemade beer, chili, and big breakfasts. I play a decent bluesy slide guitar.
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice - people comment often. I've even done some voice work. It's deep... Then my self confidence. After a minute or so my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Blacklist, Mr. Robot, Blindspot - although I'm thinking of "cutting the cable". House of Cards, Portlandia, Orphan Black, Maron, Breaking Bad, Weeds. Rachel Maddow.
WIRED, a couple of car mags and on-line media. Film in no particular order: Birdman, The Imitation Game, G R A V I T Y, Little Miss Sunshine, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pulp Fiction, The Language of Music, Food Inc., The Conjuring, Man on Wire, Memento and anything else Christopher Nolan takes on. And films by the Cohen Brothers, Wes Anderson or David O. Russell (Flirting With Disaster, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Hustle!) , Terry Gilliam, and Tarantino, and although his personal life is a total mess, Woody Allen is still a mad genius. Radio: Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me!

Spicy dishes from all over the world, and anything creative, adventurous and healthy. Occasionally I eat meat and relish it.

Sure I love the Beatles, SRV, BB King, Neil Young, and the Stones, but I also like Alt-J, XX, The Savages, Greenday, Silversun Pickups, Mumford & Sons, Fleet Foxes, Blondfire, Depeche Mode. The Slacker channels are grouped across several genres. Live jazz is also good.

Strolling the memorials & museums, healthy eating, playing slide guitar, an occasional sporting event, cooking up amazing chili, and occasionally brewing fine beer. I like spice in food, beer and women.
The six things I could never do without
Caffeine, music, the five senses (< counts as One), laughter, and the ability to count to six. Oh, and sex.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why many of the women on here will answer five questions and think this helps us figure out something. Oh, also I think about:
Our planet, an amazing ball of dirt and water, covered with air, people, animals and plants. It's taking a beating on many levels; the environment, global political upheaval, a fragile economy and social structure threatened by the greed of a powerful banking cartel, and warped politicians. After that... I also think about the ideal woman who I could spend the rest of my life with, which as we all know, would Make Every Thing Better.
On a typical Friday night I am
Not too keen on crowded bars, I do enjoying having a couple of beers and playing some pool. I prefer to relax with friends listening to music or catching a film. Otherwise you might find me just curling up and chilling at home. Streaming NetFlix in HD is pretty cool.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't really like going to movies alone. Even though I'm quiet during the film, if there isn't someone with me to feel, discuss, and relish the experience right afterwards... then I feel a little lonely.
You should message me if
If you are curious about life, reasonably sane, and can carry on a conversation, maybe I'm your guy. One OKC test says "Playboy" - wrong. Another shows "Kinky" - I don't really think of myself as kinky but I suppose it's a relative term. Yet another test has me at 44 - wrong, yet gladly accepted.
Intelligence, a sense of humor and fairness with progressive values helps. If you at least occasionally consider the environment even better! Seeking: the right mix of pheromones between two people, the delicate interplay of communicating and getting to know each other that makes the dance work.

Oh, and apparently I DO have to say this: If you are the type to send out fake photos of some amazing babe that isn't you, or if you are actually located overseas, disguising yourself as someone really interested in me, please stay away...then again I'm always up for a safari.

Where did all these "morning persons" come from? Yes, I do get up and make my way to work, slog down some caffeine and get with the program. But if left to my own rhythms I will stay up very late and sleep in.
