I have a love/hate relationship with London. Here's a few more of my loves and hates:
I love summer rain and the smell of the tarmac that it creates. I love cooking (although I'm a perfectionist in the kitchen and would rather spend 3 hours making something from scratch than simply opening a few packets). I like going to the pub at the weekend. I love seeing my friends. I love trams, and any city that has trams. I love good food and trying new things. I love Led Zeppelin and being different.
I hate tea. And coffee. And hot chocolate. In fact I hate all hot drinks. I hate Transport For London, especially their touch screen machines. I hate people who say "christian name" instead of "first name". I hate people who think they're better than other people, and people who go out of their way to be complete c*nts to others. I do swear occasionally. I loathe that Essex programme and anything resembling it. I think scientology is the biggest load of bollocks ever.
Movies: Papillon, The Warriors, City of God, Godfather Part 2, See No Evil Hear No Evil, V for Vendetta, the Saw franchise (Apart from #5 which kinda sucked), Lukas Moodysson films, Evil (Ondskan), world cinema, anything with The Jack. I'm distantly related to Cary Grant.
Shows: Not a big TV person in general... but I am addicted to House... Hugh Laurie is a genius. I also will watch cookery programmes and Match Of The Day.
Music: Led Zeppelin are my all-time favourite band. So I have a lot of time for classic rock in general (also a fan of Deep Purple, The Yardbirds, Pink Floyd, Yes) but I also like NWOBHM (Maiden, Saxon, Budgie), Folk-Metal (Turisas, Ensiferum, Blind Guardian), Swedish punk (Asta Kask, Ebba Grön), and a handful of other bands such as System Of A Down, Kansas, Black Sabbath, The Specials, Mars Volta... I'd like to say a little bit of everything. But I can't stand grime, pop, R&B or most hip hop.
Food: My favourite subject. I absolutely adore Japanese food (not JUST sushi although I love that too and have recently started learning to make my own). Lately I've been really getting into Korean as well and may have developed a slight addiction to kimchi. Middle Eastern and African food is always good too. If I had enough money I would probably travel around the world just eating. I'm always looking to try new things. My tipple of choice is either a good bourbon or a scotch & soda (Holden Caulfield style).
Coal tar soap (That old fashioned bright orange soap).
Also, if you put some haribo in a frying pan, would it melt into a multicoloured goo or just burn on the outside? I've never tried this. Let me know if you know the answer.
You like a fair amount of the things I like.
You like a good intelligent conversation about something other than what happened in Eastenders or who got voted out of the X-Factor.
You know the difference between the words "to" and "too". It's mega annoying when people cannot even grasp this; it's really not that difficult. Likewise "lose" and "loose".
You can speak Swedish... because I can and I'm always looking to practice.
If you have a nice bottom, that's always a plus. :-)
