My self-summary
I'm a ballet dancer, and I've moved around a bit because of it. I left Boston, MA to study ballet in Florida and have found some work in the area. I've committed a lot to my career because I love the focus it brings to my life.

But in a former life, I was a math major and it's such a treasure to have conversations with people who have multiple passions. I love getting outside of the dance world, usually in a calm way. Going for walks refreshes me and eating delicious food delights me. I'd love to find someone to share those moments with.
What I’m doing with my life
During the day, I'm a ballet dancer, and there's a lot involved, with class, rehearsals, and conditioning. I work at various jobs to supplement my income. My long-term goal is to make enough money with ballet that it can be my main source of income.

I also strive for a healthy balance. I have a pretty good idea of what I need to eat and how I need to sleep, and I'm focusing on being a good friend. And a good date!
I’m really good at
being curious. I try to always learn something with every person I meet, whether it's factual information, or just someone's story.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I have a mix. I'm finally doing the pop stuff like The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. For a while, I focused on classics like Atlas Shrugged, The Scarlet Letter, Hunchback of Notre Dame. And also some fun ones like Dracula, Peter Pan and Treasure Island. I also read my first mystery novel a few months ago and definitely want more.

TV Shows: I don't watch regularly, but I love an episode of the new Hawaii Five-0. And I loved Pushing Daisies. It was so under appreciated. Occasionally I catch Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. I lost track of Once Upon a Time, and I keep wanting to watch Glee.

Movies: Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet (I love the over-the-top-ness of Baz Luhrmann), The Pursuit of Happyness, Take the Lead, both of which I love for the emotional journey, and fun ones like Stardust, Ironman, and Disney+Pixar (I love Inside Out and Wreck-it Ralph).

Food: If it's well-made, I'll usually like it. My favorite burrito for a while was buche--pork stomach! At home, my rule is that most of what I cook is paleo.
Six things I could never do without
Google. I love love love having information at my fingertips. Just to look up say, whether An American in Paris was filmed at all on location, is so thrilling!

Ovens. Oven-roasted anything, I'm certain, is a recipe for deliciousness.

Rainy days. There's just something refreshing about letting things wash away.

Sunshine. (Not mutually exclusive with rainy days!) Even if I'm indoors, I'd like to at least be able to see daylight.

Well-crafted metaphors. They're so rare, but you're never the same afterwards, for the better.

A good listener. It's amazing what people already know if you just give them the time, space, and safety to let it out.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to be selective with my time. There are so many possibilities in life, and it's all so exciting! And often I forget that there isn't enough time to do it all. I usually end up with various tricks to stay focused (treating myself with chocolate), but I'm still on the lookout for something better.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing at home. I like a good movie. And, I enjoy cooking something nice for myself. and a good cup of tea.
