My self-summary
I'm a glass half full kind of guy...clumsy with drinks.

Been in a London for a while now, but still retain a little of the country mouse about me. :) Enjoy fairly intellectual pursuits and am a big reader and podcast consumer.

My hobbies are Brazilian jiu jitsu; which is wonderful, so much to learn, so many mysteries for me to work out. Also do a bit of yoga, the token inflexible male at a yoga class. Into meditation but avoid the new age stuff that seems unfortunately attached to it.

Also enjoy travelling a great deal; I've studied in Hong Kong, travelled round South East Asia and have spent a year in Latin America, being a unwilling castaway on an island for three weeks was a highlight! I also greatly enjoy gigs alongside good films and books(obviously don't enjoy bad ones!) also infrequently dabble in stand up.

If I could describe myself, I'd say I'm a pretty upbeat guy with a good sense of humour who enjoys doing new things. Extroverted and enjoy the company of others but need time to myself as well. Also quite introspective, probably to a fault, but think that I have a good handle on myself.

I also bet you a drink I can make you smile :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Attempting to be as happy and content as I can be. Attempting to know and understand myself better.

Practicing and loving Brazilian jiu jitsu, which to the untrained eye looks like two men rolling around the floor in a sweaty embrace, which is exactly correct 😊 but it's also a whole lot more than that.

Job wise working as a financial analyst and maintaining above average Excel skills.
I’m really good at
Remembering lots of disparate facts, aiming to improve myself, sleeping like a log.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Siddartha- Hesse, Watership Down- Adams, 1984 - Orwell, East if Eden - Steinbeck, Meditations- Marcus Aurelius

Music: Beck, The National, Belle and Sebastian, Brian Eno, Blur, Bowie

Food: Anything considered chopstick food.

More interesting is why you like these things rather than what they are. Better
done in person 😊
Six things I could never do without
The breath
Friends and family.
Something exciting to look forward to.
a sense of optimism
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How strange and wonderful it all is. How my mind works.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
On here, that I have once mistakenly worn tights to work.
