My self-summary
I love cats, cycling, swimming, road trips, and being in airports and on airplanes. Though the idea of travel itself doesn't particularly excite me, I like the actual travelling between places part better than being at the destination.

I'm poly and GGG. I'm a feminist (like, an actual feminist that believes in equality for women and doesn't pretend that he's got all the answers) and I try to be a good ally to LGBTQ folks and POC. I like listening to Dan Savage thinking about how relationships work.

I'm introverted, so parties and large groups are harder for me to deal with as I get older. When it comes to friends for one-on-one time, I can always find a spot in my schedule.

I listen to a lot of podcasts while I'm walking places, and I have a lot more books on my list of things to read than I can reasonably get through, but there's value in the effort, right?
What I’m doing with my life
Programmer. Cyclist at large. Secret Asian Man.

I'm swimming and cycling my way through this part of my life. I drink coffee and write letters to friends on nice paper with fountain pens. I think I've found a reasonable groove here.
I’m really good at
I'm getting pretty good at swimming, and I enjoy cyclocross. I've been working on my penmanship, and I bake a pretty decent pie.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have two half-sleeve tattoos and I currently have blue hair. I'm not sure that's what people notice first, but those seem like good candidates. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a big fan of Steven Brust and Peter F. Hamilton. I also really like the Harry Potter books. Heinlein has a few good books -- 'Friday' and 'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress' -- and is ultimately why I ended up poly. Neal Stephenson's book 'The Diamond Age' is something that I hope is in our future.

The Princess Bride holds a special place in my heart. I loved Mad Max: Fury Road and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I have to admit I'm not much of a movie-goer.

I'm a fan of The Pixies, The Breeders, Nirvana and remixes of video game music. I'm kind of a 90s kid.

I love pasta, pizza, (authentic) Chinese food, berries of all kinds, many kinds of fruit, and steak. And waffles. And pie. And banana bread. I think I may just really love food in general.

Note: I like coffee a lot. I'm not addicted to caffeine, I just think coffee is really lovely.
The six things I could never do without
My bikes, my cats, and bright summer days. I also love computers and food.

My eyes. I like lookin' at stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The nature of self. Feminism, ecology, politics. I read a lot of science writing, and I worry about the environment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home. My introversion usually means that I want to spend Friday evening quietly or with just one or two people. I often have swim practice on Friday mornings, so I'm exhausted by the time evening comes anyway.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm kinda weepy. If you can work me up over something, I might cry. (Note: I once cried watching a video of a cheetah run in slow motion. Actually, I do that every time I see that video.)
You should message me if
You're athletic, don't mind the whole polyamory thing, and have at least some interest in science, technology and/or politics.

I hope you like coffee. I really like coffee. Let's go drink coffee.
