My self-summary
Hey hey! Thanks for coming; have a seat, take a load off. Stay awhile, and listen!

I'm an Ottawa guy, formerly an engineer and now a game developer leading one heck of a busy life. I tend to be a quiet, unassuming guy at first glance, but I enjoy proving that assumption wrong.

You won't find a bigger Sens fan in this fair city, nor will you ever see me turn down playing some huge, epic board game with friends. I love playing games with friends, and hopefully you do too!

Above all, I'm an honest, straightforward person with a kind and considerate personality, and I'm damn proud of it.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software developer for a reasonably large game company here in Ottawa, making mobile games. I worked hard to get where I am, even switching career/education paths after completing university. With that said, I've got plans that may eventually take me down yet another road, so we'll see.
I’m really good at
I'm a pretty good sailor (really!), runs in my family. I have a certain knack for communicating; perhaps I was a debate mediator in a former life. Of course, I've got a way with computers, which is how I make my living, after all.

And by god, I am a PRO Mario Kart driver!
The first things people usually notice about me
Shaky hands. No, it's not a disease or whatever, yes, I've asked doctors. Everyone always notices it, but it's just the way I am. :P

BESIDES that, I think largely people notice my conversational habits first. I typically start out very 'formal' with people until I relax a bit around them. If not that, I'd have to guess my eyes; they're extremely easy to read, so I'm told.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire, as I'd like to have them read BEFORE I watch the TV series. I love anything by Neal Stephenson (Snow Crash, Diamond Age, etc.), Timothy Zahn, Christie Golden, or Drew Karpyshyn. In general, science fiction, fantasy, or for mind expansion: theoretical physics.

Movies: Star Wars, The Matrix, Serenity, Deadpool, Avengers (and most other Marvel movies), Pacific Rim, Scott Pilgrim, Inception, The Incredibles, How to Train Your Dragon, Inside Out, Mad Max...lots of action/adventure, plus the occasional animated film.

Shows: Rick and Morty. So much Rick and Morty. Archer. Game of Thrones (watching slowly, as I work through the books at the same time), Firefly, Dead Like Me, Battlestar Galactica, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory

Music: Some rock, some metal, and some classic rock. I'm honestly pretty easy when it comes to music.

Food: Pizza, pasta, Italian cuisine in general, the classic Canadian poutine, a good caesar salad. Sandwiches on pretzel buns!

BONUS CATEGORY - Games: Portal has to be listed here. Zelda games in general. Smash Brothers. Chrono Trigger and many of the other classic Super Nintendo RPGs.
Six things I could never do without
1) My family and friends
2) Hockey!
3) My phone (my main link to the aforementioned family and friends)
4) Presto card. I actually kinda enjoy buses...they give me a chance to collect myself plan my day. OCTranspo can still bite me, however.
5) Tim Horton's ice caps (come oooooooon summer!)
6) My cat. She's a chubby little furball who always wants to be held and never shuts up. Such a good little housemate. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to be happy in life. If there's one meaning of life we KNOW, it's to live it happily, and I always want to make sure I'm not missing any opportunities to do that.

Why humanity is dead set on hurting itself, and everything else around us, including things that can't fight back...

Why all my favourite Youtube channels are British. Serious business!
On a typical Friday night I am
Obligatory "there are no typical Friday nights!"...

Okay, fine. Honestly Fridays aren't usually all that special for me; most people I know are busy, and I usually use it a night to just relax and melt some stress off. Weekends are more my time to get into some shenanigans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I never managed to learn how to stop properly while skating...I have to just coast to a stop or slam myself into something. :(

Oh, and I'm secretly Batman. That seems important.
You should message me if
You want to, really. I think that's more or less how this works.

Don't be shy; even if you just want to complain about the Sens or talk about a new game, I'm up for it!
