My self-summary
HI! I HAVE A BOYFRIEND. SO DONT BOTHER MESSAGING ME GUYS. I REPEAT DO NOT MESSAGE ME! This profile is here strictly for me to help out some of my favorite guy friends. So check my boys DickTalens and JC4P. I'm leaving up my old profile here so you can see that they have normal (well relatively) female friends that vouch for them. They are both great and trust me you should respond to them.

I am intense, high energy, and ambitious. If you are looking for self-assured, driven, and intelligent woman that can hold her own, write me.

I am fiercely loyal and believe in giving back and supporting my friends and colleagues. I am very relationship oriented and always make time for significant others. While it may not seem it I am actually quite warm.

Other useful details: I am Waldorf educated, attended the University of Chicago (Econ and a program called Fundamentals: Issues and Texts), and I am a great books lateral thinking diverse interests kind of woman. I'm from Boulder Colorado and much of my personality is reflected in my Western upbringing.
What I’m doing with my life
I am the CEO and co-founder of an enterprise software startup. It is my second startup. I sold my first company a few years back which was nominally ad tech but specialized in the fashion & lifestyle space. In the intervening years I went corporate to brush up on my skills at a very large fashion retailer. I worked for an incredibly inspiring president and loved every minute of it. Being an entrepreneur is foundational to my worldview and how I think of my place in society. What that means is that I believe entrepreneurs are those that create something that didn't exist before and ostensibly are also solving a problem so I gravitate towards those that are drawn to problem solving and creation. I joke that founders have OCD for entire markets. You see a problem and you have to fix it.

I recently (well in the last year) discovered a passion for powerlifting. If you want to discuss Starting Strength or Wendler's 5x3x1 or your recomp I'm all ears. My favorite lift is the deadlift. My co-founder says that my self image lies somewhere between The Rock and Lara Croft.

I live in Chinatown because it is a cross between a William Gibson novel and a Robert Longo art directed film. It is a bit like living in Blade Runner. This without a doubt describes my preferred aesthetic.
I’m really good at
Thinking laterally, pattern recognition, abstraction, having a consistent color palette in my wardrobe. And throwing parties—I am a stellar hostess.
The first things people usually notice about me
Terms used to describe me, my personality and my better qualities have included "mind like a steel trap," "a very dry wit" and "a scream."

I've been told by friends that I need to slow down. I struggle with this—a lot.

I am very input-output driven as a person so I keep things efficient. Everything in life can be broken down into "a thing" or "not a thing" and "done" or "not done". I strive to make things "not a thing" and "done." You would be surprised how much drama you cut out of work (and life) with this philosophy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: I am a voracious consumer of science fiction from sweeping space opera like Ian M Banks to old school cyperpunk like Neal Stephenson's Snowcrash and of course William Gibson (though I love Pattern Recognition the most). Carl Sagan's Contact makes me cry every single time and I enjoy most anything by Charles Stross from Singularity Sky to the Laundry Files (I mean James Bond as computational demonologist who doesn't love that?). Recently enjoyed Silo Series a great deal.

I am also strongly drawn to the classics with a deep love of Thucydides' Peloponnesian War in particular. I am also quite the Adam Smith fan but prefer Theory of Moral Sentiments. Augustine's City of God and Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion also strongly impact my politics. Though not in the way you might think.

I also love children's literature from the obscure like Big Tiger and Christian to Tove Jansson's Moomintrolls.

MAGAZINES: I read the The Economist to keep up with the world in one convenient progressive technocrat dose.

MEDIA: I love Star Trek. Anything involving aliens or blowing things up. Science fiction is my preferred movie genre. MST3K. Northern Exposure. And I LOVE Spartacus because it is gladiator porn produced by Sam Raimi. I watch Archer, Eureka and South Park. I love football.

SPORTS: I'm a Bears fan.

INTERNET: I spend a lot of time on various internet oriented media type sites like The Awl.

FOOD: I eat a lot of protein to fuel my weight lifting. BBQ and tacos (maybe without the tortilla) are my staples. I like whiskey but I don't drink a lot anymore.

FASHION I like Marni, Prada, Jil Sander (both Raf Simmon's work and the lady herself). I also own a surprising amount of Diane Von Furstenberg, Ann Taylor and Gucci which is driven driven mostly by corporate discounts.

If this section is something you didn't gloss over but actually find interesting and want to tell me all about your nouveau americana, Steven Alan, APC, Freeman's (grooming or suiting) regimen or how really maybe you prefer OAK and Odin I will probably adore you. I live for fashion straights.
Six things I could never do without
My laptop, leggings, my favorite knee high stiletto boots, Hulu (or Netflix) Seamless, one of the three power cages at Equinox SoHo, The Economist.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The singularity and my eventual bulldog procurement.
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately I am at home working and catching up on media.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a Trekkie. I went to a Star Trek convention as a middle schooler in a captain's outfit.

You are an outgoing, stylish, fit, nerdy entrepreneur.

You want to join me at some restaurants I've been looking to try including Carbone, Pearl and Ash, Aamanns-Copenhagen, Alder, Mighty Quinns, Le Philosophe, and Marrow. I promise to wear a nice cocktail dress. I've many to choose from; red, black, even pink.

You would enjoy discussing whether the future has arrived or not or if it is simply unevenly distributed.

You love weightlifting, powerlifting or are otherwise a fan of being physically active. Points deducted if you are into Cult-Fit (aka Cross Fit) or are compulsively Paleo.

If you have a thing for Erin Burnett.

You are not afraid of women who manage their own lives.

You are patient. I have a busy schedule, I travel a lot, and I have a lot of competing priorities. Be respectful of my time & I will be respectful of yours
