I'm still figuring out my work schedule but I'm just as interested (if not more so) in finding cool people to hang out with and explore Tucson and the Southwest. Ultimately, it would be great to find a long term partner -someone to both go out with and come home to -but I recognize that the only way to find that is to meet people and see if there's a connection with someone.
I enjoy concerts, art exhibits, live performances, and pretty much anything else involving the arts. I also like to out for runs, hiking, and wouldn't mind getting into cycling when I get to Arizona. I like to stay fit but I've gotten away from gyms for the most part. I've also done CrossFit and learned a lot from it but could never get into all my workouts being timed, having funny names, etc...
I've traveled a fair bit (both in the US and internationally) and love road trips, exploring back roads, foreign cultures, and visiting interesting places. Being curious about the world and wanting to see it are important to me. For some reason, I've always loved learning and find some of the best ways to learn are just through experiences.
Movies: I tend to watch pretty random movies -whatever seems interesting on Netflix to be honest. I sort of like smaller movies. Moonrise Kingdom was great. I like a lot of comedies but nothing is coming to mind. Bill Murray. If I had to name a comic actor, he'd be right there at the top. Also enjoy the classic 80s movies that I grew up with.
TV Shows: I haven't been watching much TV lately but if I'm doing something on my laptop, etc... and have the TV on in the background I'll usually have a comedy or a documentary on. I like the Big Bang Theory when I can find it on whatever channel it's on. I really liked Chuck, Burn Notice, Six Feet Under, and a few others back when they were on. Sherlock is really good and the TV version of GoT is fun.
Music: Thea Gilmore, Jenny Owens Young, The Postal Service (will they ever put out another album?), Travis, U2, Phil Ochs, Bob Dylan,The Editors, The White Stripes, The Tragically Hip, James, and lots of stuff from the 80s. I listen to music all the time and can go from 50s pop to 80s new wave to Bakersfield country to punk and then over to top 40 without missing a beat (sometimes you want a Yoohoo, sometimes you want a nice scotch, and other times there's nothing like a cold crisp beer). Lately, Haim, Chvrches, Kasey Musgraves, Lorde, and other others have been taking up a lot of time on my mp3 rotation.
Food: I love food but I'm trying to eat healthier so I'm avoiding certain things (like pizza). I love Indian food (as well as Thai, Sushi, Korean, Greek, etc...).
