I write poetry and pretend to play guitar. Sometimes sounds come out that aren't shrieking monstrosities. That is how I define a good day.
The above sentence definitely takes the cake for phrases that vaguely present a life. The vague part certainly being a focal point.
I tend to have a very ambient approach to life, with a bit of vibrant neuroses coming out to play every now and then.

There is something intriguing about creating some kind of picture of a person from stacks of assorted publications, journal entries, letters, photos, medical bills and draft poetry.
Other authors that hit a soft spot for me are David Foster Wallace, Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Haruki Murakami, Jorge Louis Borges, and a bunch of dead philosophers.

Not to make life all about justifications, but if you'd like to have a chat about anything, I generally find that 'anything' is a pretty cruisy subject.
