My self-summary
I'm Ryan.

I'm a happy person. Maybe I'm funny, maybe I'm not. I laugh at all my own jokes, so I must be hilarious, right?

Could you do me a favor and do your part to keep this charade alive? Thanks.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm an engineer in the water conservation sector and I work on dam and reservoir improvement projects in the Los Angeles area. I work with federal agencies to address environmental concerns regarding impacts to sensitive species and plants.

Outside of work, I picked up coding in Python as a hobby, but most of my free time is spent playing instruments.
I’m really good at
Writing shitty poems. Send me a prompt and I'll provide you with a very mediocre poem.

Getting sunburns. Finding tables in the dark with my shin, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
My milkshakes. They bring all the boys to the yard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like all books, but I'm partial to anything written by Kurt Vonnegut. Robert Graves is pretty cool too. I'm currently working my way through Dostoyevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov".

Also, definitely "The Monster at the End of This Book" because I read this a bazillion times when I was a kid.

Seinfeld is a strong number one for me. I still wonder if/when Jesse Pinkman is going to make an appearance on Better Call Saul. I've watched and re-watched The Office too many times.

At this point i'm 90% sure that Steven Avery is guilty (Kidding, I'm not an animal).

"Hold the Door!"

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm working my way throughArrested Development.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Every time I walk by an animal, I wonder what it thinks about me. How complex are the thoughts running through their heads? What's their angle, you know?
On a typical Friday night I am
My work schedule allows me to have Fridays off every week, so I usually go out with coworkers on Thursday night. Fridays are for errands and sometimes a happy hour.
