My self-summary
Got back to Cape Town four years ago, discovered there was more to life than work, got fit and met some new people; enjoying it and learning a lot. It has been an interesting growth path: yoga, poetry, a few adventures. You'll find me warm and funny.

Not really looking for The One right now, but not excluding the possibility. I'd like to spend time with someone who is busy, independent and open-minded.
What I’m doing with my life
Public service. Exercise. Spending time with friends and family. Finding new friends. Exploring ideas for a book.
I’m really good at
Dot-connecting. Strategy. Analysis. Writing. Faffing. Reading out loud. Not dirtying a pan. Acquiring books. Quotes. Enjoying wine.
The first things people usually notice about me
I really don't know. Why don't you find out?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Mainly non-fiction, especially philosophy. Currently reading "Civilisations" by Felipe Fernandez-Armesto; "The Dot Spot" by Dorothy Black, and "Jung: The Key Ideas".

Films: anything really, except mindless violence. I love art movies. Some films I have enjoyed include Dangerous Liaisons (it's beyond my control), Possession, The Lover, Almost Famous, Amadeus, Midnight's Children, Girl on a Bridge, The Barbarian Invasions, Babel, Jamon Jamon, anything with Jack Nicholson or Jim Carrey.

Music: 80s and classical, especially anything by Mozart.

Food and wine: yes keen on both, but the company's more important.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Which island I will live on when my novel has sold 37 million copies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typically regrouping with glass of wine, movie and take out.
You should message me if
You are open, optimistic and living in the present.
