My self-summary
I'm an outgoing nerd who loves being active and social. I'm a very recent transplant to San Francisco. I grew up in San Diego, but I left for college at UC Santa Barbara, where I got my degree in Electrical Engineering. Now I'm living in SF and working here in the Bay Area.
What I’m doing with my life
I help change the world through technology. I'm now working as an engineer at a tech company in the Bay Area. It's fun work, and few things beat the challenge of getting a device to come to life in your hands.

I do travel a decent amount for work - recently I've been in Asia, and it's been fun to experience some of the different culture. I may also now be in love with Tokyo.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time either out with my friends, wandering around the city to discover more of it, in the gym, or with my hands embedded in some new hacked together project at home.

I did a decent amount of ballroom dancing while I was at UCSB, and I'm looking around San Francisco for places to start doing that again.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I generally enjoy a good fantasy novel. In particular, the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind is a great read.
A friend of mine recently encouraged me to read through the Wheel of Time series, and I'm enjoying that right now as well.

My favorite books from while I was growing up would have to be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the galaxy by Douglas Adams, and the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.

I generally love a good action film, and I greatly enjoy good science fiction movies. Gattaca, The Man From Earth, and The Matrix, are good examples of what I consider to be "good" science fiction movies. That said, I'm always open to debate over those.

I'm also a tremendous fan of any older comedy featuring Leslie Nielsen. (Airplane, The Naked Gun)

I don't watch too much television, but when I do, I tend to find myself watching Fringe, Suits, NCIS, and White Collar.

Also, if you have ever watched the cartoon Jackie Chan Adventures, we'll get along just fine.

I've been on a bit of a Dark Moor bender recently, but normally you're likely to find me listening to Kamelot, Rhapsody of Fire, or Synphony X.

When I'm looking for something more relaxing, I usually find some vocal trance.

I'm a carnivore. I love meat, whether it be fish, chicken, or beef.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How things work, and how they fit together.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely, I'm spending Friday night out with friends having dinner before some sort of shenanigan.

Alternately, I might be working late and only get back to my apartment at 10:30 before just passing out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love playing D&D.
