My self-summary
The first line is the most important. I hope I don't blow it.
What I’m doing with my life
Hopefully not wasting it. So far so good.

Professionally, I design railroads. Yes, they really do still build railroads and I'm lucky enough to be one of the people that gets to design them.
I’m really good at
I honestly don't think I'm great at anything, I'm just good at a lot of things. Jack of all trades? Perhaps. Renaissance man? If you insist.
The first things people usually notice about me
Some say it's the hair, some say it's the eyes, but most say it's that I'm an arrogant prick.

What can I say, you needed to know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
You get one of each for now, but this list is highly representative.

Books: The Once and Future King
Movies: Groundhog Day
Shows: Seinfeld (all-time); Doctor Who (currently)
Music: Billy Joel
Food: Peanut Butter
Six things I could never do without
New season; new list:

- My favorite tweed blazer
- Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Beers
- Corn mazes
- Espresso (a drink for all seasons)
- Cardigans
- Long walks on crisp autumn afternoons (preferrably in a corn maze)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stupid designs and how they could be better. I'm an engineer, that's what we do.

I also have a mild obsession with grammar. I know I'm opening myself up by saying this, because I'm sure there is some error in what I have written that some prescriptive grammarian will pounce on, but I hate when people butcher the language.
On a typical Friday night I am
Missing the early nineties TGIF line up. Whatever did happen to predictability?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am Keyser Söze.
You should message me if
You think I'm attractive, you think you're attractive and you can make me laugh.
