My self-summary
Nerdy, catlady and random are some of the words my closest friends have used to describe me, so I guess that fits a summary right?
What I’m doing with my life
Am currently a student for the second time (first I got a degree in Criminology and then I started another course in 2012. Am not going to tell you what my second course is though unless you ask ;) )
I’m really good at
Spouting off random facts (like, did you know that Limahl, aka the guy who sings that tune from "neverending story" is just an anagram for Hamill, the singers real surname?), decent at painting and am also a very good friend and listener (and I'm not shocked by ANYTHING)
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my nerdyness (a Star Wars lunch box is kind of a giveaway to be fair...) and somewhat spaced out sense of humour
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh god I hate this part, there's so many good ones to list!
Anyway, here's a selection:

Books: I know this is bad taste, but I really LOVED the Seth Grahame book "Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter". It was very well researched and had a perfect combo of fact, fiction and interesting charachters.

Music: Pet Shop Boys, because I love their versatility. Being able to make disco, rap, a movie soundtrack and a techno remix of a song from West Side Story is just fantastic. That and the fact that they are still able to re-invent themselves and keep an audience entertained for a full tour of fun "pop" music despite being well in their fifties! Amazing!

Food: I love lasagna as well as a good curry :)

Movies: This is by far the hardest one to choose. I love Star Wars, LoTR, the Harry Potter films and so on. But, I think the movie that has influenced me the most is A Clockwork Orange. No, it hasn't inspired me into a life of crime, BUT, I got really fascinated by the ethics concept (how far are we willing to go to stop crime?) and the whole perspective on what to do with issues in society, crime and criminals (hence the three year course in Criminology)
Six things I could never do without
I'm listing only ITEMS here (since I'd hate to objectify my friends, family and pets :P )

1: my phone, since I like being sociable. Plus, I don't have a laptop so it's the only way for me to check the news and... stuff when I'm not at home

2: My movie collection. I love relaxing with a good movie, as well as watching something that really makes me think.

3: My painting kit. I sadly don't paint as often as I'd like to (due to my studies), but, being able to just relax and have some peace and quiet and let my imagination flow means a lot to me.

4: My perfumes. I collect them, and also, there's no easier quick fix on an "off day" (you know, when you can't be bothered with makeup and such) than a few spritzes of your favorite scent.

5: My iPod. I take it everywhere and it can help "dictate" my mood whether I'm having a bad day or a great one, the right music can sort it out :)

6: My cookbooks. Although I usually just cook "freestyle" I like to browse my cookbooks for inspiration and new things to try out :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to "improve myself" physically (my current studies have several fitness requirements so I'm working towards those) as well as by learning new things and improving on things I already know a little about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at the pub enjoying some quiet drinks, watching a movie with a friend or out cruising in the car :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrified of "daddy long legs" ... (But for some reason most other spiders don't really bother me that much. I even find tarantulas rather fascinating. But those spindly ones... Eurgh!)
You should message me if
If you're not put off by nerdy girls? Or if you just find me interesting. Don't be afraid to "gimme a shout" as the Brits say :)
