My self-summary
I've lost count of how many times I've joined and left and rejoined this damn site. Online dating sucks. I feel like I'm shopping for shoes as I scroll through profiles. "Ooh, cute! No way, not going there! Hmm....maybe...." It sucks. But what other option is there--I go to a school where the guys are either 18 to 22 year old little boys, pretheologates or irritating religious fanatics, and all of my coworkers are girls. And I don't do the bar scene.

So, here I am. Again. I'm not gonna say much, but I will tell you that I'm extremely picky. I'll be friends with almost anyone, but I have high standards when it comes to romance. I've probably read too many books and as a result want some sort of Byronic hero. I doubt I'll get one, but I can try to get close, and I don't mind waiting for it. I'd rather be alone than be in a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship.

This is probably the part where I make some sort of generic statement, like I love my family and friends and love trying new things and blahblahblah. Well, my family is important to me, as are the few close friends I have. I'm the type with many acquaintances but few real friends. My pets are also a huge part of my life. Yeah, I'm one of those. My animals are part of my family, not just things that can be taken care of or gotten rid of as the fit takes me. I've had my dog for over half my life, and if she doesn't like a potential boyfriend, he'll just have to deal with it because she was here first. So if you think you can handle that, knock yourself out.
What I’m doing with my life
Work and school. Getting through it a day at a time right now.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating. Seriously, it's a lost art.
The first things people usually notice about me
Why don't you ask them?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll try to give you just the highlights...
Books: The Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Jane Eyre, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, Gone With The Wind, The Fionavar Tapestry, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Jane Austen novels, The Prydain Chronicles, The Phantom of the Opera, Bridget Jones's Diary and I better stop while I'm ahead.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia--well, the first two, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader kinda sucked--always happens when they change directors. Gone With The Wind, Harry Potter, Interview With The Vampire (NOT Queen of the Damned, what an utter travesty!), Jane Eyre (2011 version), The Hobbit, 300, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Phantom of the Opera, P.S. I Love You, Inglourious Basterds, Bridget Jones's Diary, A Good Year, Gladiator, and then there's the Disney, I haven't grown up all the way.

Shows: Oh God, where do I start....Game of Thrones, Modern Family, Once Upon A Time, The Tudors, Suburgatory, Parenthood, Friends, Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, Boardwalk Empire, Boston Legal, The Borgias, House, New Girl, Family Guy...don't really care for reality shows, love historical, fantasy, comedy and dramedy.

Music: I'll give almost anything a try except for country. I have no idea what's so appealing about crooning about tractors and beer guts.

Food: Well, I love meat but don't eat it anymore. I'll try almost anything except bugs, snails, and sushi. Raw fish grosses me out. Oh yeah, I still eat fish.
Six things I could never do without
This is a really stupid question. I COULD do without six things, it's entirely possible, but I wouldn't WANT to. The only things I couldn't literally do without are food, water, and oxygen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why the hell I'm back on this fricken site.
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting off work and rewarding myself with wine and a show while snuggling the dog if I do my homework.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You should message me if
You've gotten through this profile without thinking "Damn, what a nutjob!" and you have a basic grasp of the English language. And by that I mean, knowing how to spell and use punctuation.
