My self-summary
And now for the canned answer a lot of people give on dating sites to this question, "Gosh I don't know what to say about myself. It's hard to write about what makes me me."

I was born a poor black child.... nope nope that's how The Jerk starts out and I can't plagiarise Steve Martin. I'm a pretty open book. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I like to think that I am pretty positive guy but I'm also a realist and sometimes those collide. I guess it can be summed up like this - if someone drinks from the glass then it's half empty but if someone is filling it up then it's half full.

I like to stay busy, however a lazy day in the house is nice. I workout and run 3-4 days a week, help keeps the mind sharp. I work a lot but it comes with owning a business. Photography is my hobby and I do a lot of it.

I like to experience new experiences and I love to travel. I'm due up for a big trip somewhere but where oh where will that be. I've been to Thailand. I've been over to Europe and I've been down to Costa Rica. I'd love to go to Europe again for a longer period time and I'd like to visit South America. I've always wanted to go to Montreal too. I know that isn't too far or exotic but something about that city has always intrigued me.

I have a great sense of humor and try to find humor in just about anything. Sometimes I think I missed my calling in being a comedy writer. Since that didn't work out I'll stay with the restaurant biz. I have plans on opening a second and third restaurant in the next few years. I'm always looking for new things to photograph and ways to get it seen by more people.
What I’m doing with my life
I own a restaurant in downtown Athens that stays pretty busy. With the general sales volume and the time that it takes owning a business I stay fairly busy. So I cherish the time that I get a break.
I’m really good at
photography. finding the lighter side in things. enjoying lazy Sundays. cooking scrambled eggs. Check out my website at www.ryanmyerscaptures.com
The first things people usually notice about me
I wouldn't know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music is my big thing. I try to stay on top of new stuff coming out. Favorite artists? This list is way to big to even start but I'll say this I'm open to just about anything. I can appreciate what makes a good piece of music a good piece of music be it a classical piece or some top 40 garbage. Currently on heavy rotation: Dr. Dog, new Arcade Fire, motown music, new Beck, Paul McCartney, DJ Shadow Junip, Diamond Rugs,Sturgill Simpson, Jeff Beck, Head and the Heart....

Movies - i love a good comedy. Some all time faves? - Forrest Gump (I cry every time, dammit why did you have to die Jenny?), Shawshank Redemption, Big Lebowski, The Back to the Future Triology, Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail, The Breakfast Club, The Jerk....I like comedies.
Six things I could never do without
aside from the basics -
camera, music, laptop, gummi savers, sense of humor, Hi-C orange from McDonald's when I have a raging hangover which these days doesn't happen much anymore
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my business, my photography, where the cheapest gas is, the quickest way to get form point a to point b
On a typical Friday night I am
either at work, sharing good times over drinks, editing photos at home or none of the above because I got thrown a curve ball and I'm doing something weird like midget tossing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I still have not figured out how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
You should message me if
If you can't live without Gummi savers too :) If you think we might have some things to talk about over adult beverages.
