My self-summary
I'm Ryan. I hate trying to describe myself in a paragraph. I try not to take life too seriously. I guess my self-summary is two simple words- I'm me. Family is extremely important to me and have no shame in admitting that my grandpa is one of the closest people in my life.

I love traveling. Been to Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Dublin, London, Brussels, between Belgium and Paris, I've been all over the US and my favorite US city by far is NY. As of Nov 2016, I just got back from Shanghai and am planning on going back at least twice in early to mid 2017.

That all being said, I have a soft spot for Miami and the Florida Keys and try to make it down to Marathon several times a year as I grew up loving the ocean.

You won't see me with any gym selfies or selfies at all as I think there's far more important things than making silly faces next to whatever and uploading them to my Twitter(I don't have one, nor do I ever have a desire to have one).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a registered nurse in a private occupational health clinic. Debating on going back to get my PhD in nursing, as I do love teaching more than anything.

I'm kind of an open book, so ask away.

I also travel as much as possible; Anthony Bourdain is my hero and in 2017 I plan on taking a month to see other parts of China.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books-not ashamed to admit it, Joanne Rowling is amazing. I'm also a Hemingway fan; Jurassic Park is one of the best books I've ever read. I liked The Hunger Games. I read Cloud Atlas and was utterly confused by the book, however the movie was great.

Movies-I'm a movie fanatic. I own 100+ blu rays. Stephen Spielberg is my favorite director ever, Tom Hanks is my favorite actor ever, and Natalie Portman is my favorite actress ever. Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Raiders of the Lost Ark are my favorite movies ever. I'm not ashamed to admit that I find the horror/gross out genre disgusting. And yet I can watch a surgery and be fine with that. Oh yeah, and comedy is amazing as well. Anchorman is brilliant, as are Wes Anderson movies, and pretty much anything that Luc Besson has done is great as well.

TV- Seinfeld is my favorite TV show ever in a memory sense. Breaking Bad was amazing. House of Cards is #3. And there's always money in the banana stand.

Music- Blink-182 is my favorite band ever of my generation. Best rock band ever is The Beatles. I also love Rage Against the Machine, Green Day, Nofx, Explosions in the Sky. My music taste is eclectic and I love anything with the piano.

Food-I'm a fan of almost anything. French food by far is my favorite style of food followed by Thai.
The six things I could never do without
Cliche stuff right here
1. My family. My grandpa in particular as he's the closest person in my life.
2. Friends
3. Good local beer.
4. The Packers. I'm a Packers owner.
5. My cats. I've got 2 of them and named one of them after my favorite Packer ever, Donald Driver.
6. My passport. If it's not obvious yet, traveling is an essential part of who I am.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How do so many people dislike cats? Cats are awesome.

Where my next trip is going to be.

Also, does anyone else get people from all over the world checking them out? Sorry, I have 0 desire to date someone in the Philippines.

And is there something that I'm not getting about Machu Picchu as it seems like at least 70% of the people on here have been there.
On a typical Friday night I am
All varies. Maybe down to Kenosha with a friend, maybe relaxing with a movie, maybe hanging out with my cats. It varies. And from what I gather, I'm not the only one who isn't a big Friday person as I feel a more appropriate question would be "On a typical Saturday night I am..."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate spiders. Spiders freak me out. I won't go out of my way to go and kill a spider, I just...yeah, I try to avoid them. Makes sense that I work for the company that makes Raid.
You should message me if
You're not content to just hang around the rest of your life. As I've made it abundantly clear, I love exploring and seeing what else is out there. Some of the best times of my life have been spent just hanging around, talking to locals.
