My self-summary
So what is Burma called now? I've been calling friends for years with random questions...way before Google, the TV show and "using a life line". I am always trying to learn something new and am intrigued by what others do differently from me.

I am a very happy person. I find enjoyment out of things as small as a nice shot in tennis or as big as a recent trip to Asia. Life is just a bunch of moments. If I can get four or five good ones out of an event or trip, it was worthwhile. I am not looking for perfection, though. Life can be a bit of a roller coaster which is fine.

I am looking for a woman who likes to have fun and who likes me. Whether it is laughing over a glass a wine or grabbing some sun on the golf course, let's see if we have any chemistry. I prefer a strong minded woman who is somewhat adventurous and open minded. She has to like herself and have her own life.

My father used to tell me "always have a plan but do not get locked into it". In other words, do not be the "I don't know, what do you want to do?" guy and never, never be "my way or the highway" guy. Just offer a plan of action but be willing to change it if someone has a better one.

I have traveled a great deal (29 countries so far and not nearly done - just added another in 2016). I find discovering the similarities and differences between people and cultures fun. To quote the movie Good Will Hunting, "People call these things imperfections, but they're not. Ah, that's the good stuff."

I am a bit of a movie addict and sports nut (yes, I watch sports on TV and go to the occasional Giants or Warriors game). While I love hanging out with my buddies, I still really enjoy going to the ballet or a museum. You can be a strong man and still like culture also.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it. Trying to discover differenr adventures in life. I do not know if there is a secret in life or if I should bother looking for it. At least I will have fun on the journey.

I work in San Francisco but live in Sausalito.
I play tennis several times a week. I am an avid baseball, basketball and football fan. As everyone says, good food and wine are nice. I like the ballet. I have not seen a modern dance recital recently but would like to.

I have my own business in the computer software industry in the medical arena.
I’m really good at
I am told that I am very supportive of others. I think that I see the big picture while others get caught up in the minutia.
The first things people usually notice about me
Big head of thick grey hair. I went grey early in life but oh well. I am usually in a great mood and am truly interested in the differences between people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
"How fiction ruined my family" - written by my cousin, Jeanne Darst. Hilarious and sad book. A look at my dysfunctional family (or at least my cousins).
Also, "The man who wrote the book" by Erik Tarloff. Really, really funny. Read the first page - I promise that you will be laughing.

Movies - I am a movie addict. Too many to say, but one is "The year of living dangerously"
Six things I could never do without
1) Chemistry - life comes down to that.
2) Water - my cure all. Swimming, rowing, sailing, river rafting, kayaking, showers, hot tubs, steam room, saunas, etc.
3) New adventures - at least one a year.
4) Sports - playing and watching. I'm a little addicted.
5) Family.
6) Possibly you...(a little cheesy huh?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Almost anything, to anyone, anytime.
You should message me if
You are happy with yourself, strong minded and like to laugh. Let's see if we have chemistry. If not, no worries...we will still have had a nice conversation over a drink or meal.
