My self-summary
I'm a transplant from Nashville, TN, but I've lived in North Carolina, NYC, Seoul, and Chicago, in that order. I often aim for order, but tend to thrive on chaos.

Most of my time is spent thinking about the universe, existence, who left this in my fridge, what's next, what to make for dinner, whether there's such thing as a "right" choice, and whether the arguments that I'm living in a hologram hold holographic water or not.

I enjoy (wait for it...) outdoor activities and games--running to the sunset, biking to the sunset, basketballing to the sunset, bowling, ping pong, cornhole, pin the tail on the donkey, settlers, thinking about yoga, etc. Recently took a pottery wheel class and been brewing my own beer....take that as you will. I also enjoy going to movies more than any of those, but, in the Bay Area, if you don't define yourself by your activities, you're nothing!!! My favorite thing to do is doing something with someone and finding the humor in whatever we are doing.

I was (am) an attorney. Left the BIG firm, and now I'm doing lots of random shit that I like better, not worth discussing here, and who cares...but it's cool sometimes and not cool other times. No need to bullshit.

(Jesus, I'm editing this and I hate myself. I'm going to leave what follows, so you can see why I said that, and then you can hate me too.) I'm well-traveled and hope to do much more traveling (as does everyone on this site). I think I've been to around 25 different countries, and I lived abroad for a couple of years. (See?)

I like fun. Fun good. You like fun? Let's fun together?

P.S. I like jokes a lot and am not often outwardly serious.
What I’m doing with my life
(From when I was a lawyer) Workin' on renewable energy development, planning my next vacation. Other than that, hanging out with friends, cooking, enjoying the amazing landscape out here.

Update: working with a bunch of friends on their companies and left my law firm job. Listening to Anohni and Radiohead on repeat. Cleaning out my closet. Trying to make things grow gooder in my Garden...even though in the end it'll only supply 2 meals.
I’m really good at
Games? Talking? I don't know...NBA Jam? Yeah, I'm really good at NBA Jam. That's the only thing I'm objectively good at based on all metrics.

Playing my MicroKorg in my room with my headphones on and having a one person dance party.

I'm pretty decent at a bunch of random shit, though...I think...but it's all relative.
The first things people usually notice about me
Dunno, honestly; and F*** this question, really.

Update: apparently I look and smell like Seth Rogen
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Brave New World, the Power and the Glory, the Glass Bead Game, the Grapes of Wrath, Ulysses, One Hundred Years of Solitude, other pretentious nonsense (seriously, though); update - just read Freedom and liked it a good bit. Reading Ravelstein now and love it; about to dive into In the Garden of the Beast.

Movies: Children of Men, Wizard People, Dear Reader, King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, Point Break, This Is Spinal Tap, Wayne's World, Brazil, Casablanca, Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Total Recall, Jurassic Park, Finding Nemo, Raiders, TDK, Back to the Future, Pumping Iron, Amadeus, JP, Wizard People, Dear Reader, adding Guardians of the Galaxy and Mad Max: Fury Road.

TV: Rick and Morty for life, Lois and Clark,

Music: I was a college radio DJ, so I like a lot of different genres and still explore a bunch; Pavement, Brian Eno, Built to Spill, Matthew Dear, Liars, El-P, Human League, T. Rex, Radiohead, blah blah, etc etc.; recent most played stuff - Darkside, Ought, Mark McGuire, Caribou, Run the Jewels, Jamie xx, Grooms, Courtney Barnett, Petite Noir, Viet Cong, Deafheaven
Most recent: Anohni, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Underworld, Kyle Craft, Anna Meredith

Food: Anything good...not picky at all, but love good food. I also love to cook. I love all styles of food. Love spicy food. I've eaten some weird stuff along the way. Have I used the word love yet?
Six things I could never do without
my friends (or just someone to talk to...who can laugh at absurdity)
Mac & Cheese (really just a more specific one of my friends...oh how it laughs)
Potable Water (and I don't mean this lightly...I love drinking water)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to answer this (also, reptoids and/or the AI apocalypse)

Update based on roommate arguments: how to argue that people should individually care about major issues that they can't change even if they change their own lifestyles
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, eating good food, going to bars, going to concerts, seeing a movie, having a party at my place, maybe something else.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry at the end of Aladdin when [SPOILER ALERT] he sets genie free.
You should message me if
You think you'd like me or if you're just bored on here. But let's face it...I'm a guy so you won't message me first (challenge to all the progressive people out there who think that's sexist even though it's just empirically true).
