What I’m doing with my life
I am doing what I love. Graphic design is my profession, but I've been painting a great deal recently and pursuing the idea of selling my work as a full-time profession. Someday I would love to own my own gallery. I used to teach illustration at Fresno State part-time and I hope to return to teaching at some point. I play soccer three to four days a week. I have three nephews that I adore and I try to spend as much time with them as possible.

I've also been bitten by the photography bug. I made an investment in a great sports lens (70-200mm) so I can take pictures of my nephews at their many sporting events.
I’m really good at
Putting my foot in my mouth.
Forgetting things I just did.
Forgetting things I just did.
Taking photos of my nephews.
Making people feel comfortable.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my smile... and my aura of overwhelming awesomeness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Pillars of the Earth, Into the Wild, Angels and Demons, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Hunger Games trilogy (my nephew loved them so much I had to find out why). I'm currently reading American Gods (can't wait to see how it translates to a a series on HBO).

Movies: The Illusionist, The Prestige, Girl With a Pearl Earring, The Red Violin, Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back (the rest are awful), The Last Samurai, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Shawshank Redemption, Serenity, The Incredibles, and my guilty pleasure... Just Friends.

TV: Games of Thrones, Mad Men, Real Time with Bill Maher, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Bill Moyers and Company, 60 Minutes, Modern Family, and Happy Endings.

Music: old school Prince, Joni Mitchell, Miguel, U2, Barenaked Ladies, Radiohead, Tears for Fears, and most music from the 70s and 80s. I enjoy listening to classical while I work, especially Yo-Yo Ma's rendition of Bach.

Food: I love all kinds of cuisine and I enjoy trying new foods. But it doesn't get any better than a big bowl of chicken pho in the winter.
Six things I could never do without
1) Creating/Designing/Drawing
2) Hanging with my nephews/family
3) Hanging with my friends
4) Playing/watching soccer.
5) My computer.
6) My phone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
... ways I can be more awesome... and humble. I also think a lot about the meaning of life.
On a typical Friday night I am
1) Fighting crime as a masked vigilante.
2) Hanging with friends.
3) In front of my computer, crying... wondering why my client needs to see comps of their project by Sunday night.

Okay, one out of three of those things may or may not be true.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love cooking shows! I really enjoy learning new recipes and cooking techniques, which in turn leads to me spending way too much money on kitchen tools and appliances. I may need help.
You should message me if
You have a sense of humor and don't take yourself too seriously. You are not high maintenance, but can appreciate when someone goes above and beyond the call of duty for you. I like women who are open minded and are willing to try and see another point of view. I admire honesty, and appreciate when someone can tell me the truth even if it hurts.
