My self-summary
Now that I've got your attention...

I think something I really enjoy is that I have a lot of wonderful people in my life who really like me. Would you like to find out why? :)

Just let me know when you're available. Until then, allow me to entertain you with a few vignettes...

Story 1:

I went out for brunch and bottomless mimosas with a couple friends who are blind. After brunch, I helped them hail a cab. I opened the door for them and then said good bye. Then I turned around and crashed into a sign post forehead first. :-/

Story 2:

When I was fifteen, I tricked an acquaintance into thinking I had a twin brother. Enough said.

Story 3:

I spent eleven years working in my family's business so we could one day own our own home.

Story 4:

I organized a civil rights campaign in India (immigrant/labor rights).

Story 5:

A dear friend called me at 10:30pm once after a bad date / break up with her then boyfriend. I listened and comforted her for an hour. I gave her insight into the male mind. The next day, I edited her email to her ex to ensure it didn't all end in flames. Unfortunately, I failed in influencing her, and that man may still be traumatized as a result.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm always interested in healthy living - athletics, home cooking, etc. However, I suck at any sport that involves a ball.

My family is a blessing, if anxiety provoking ("when will you _____?!"). You can fill in the blank. Trust me, whatever you come up with is the right answer.

My friends are so friggin' cool.

I love my career. I serve vulnerable populations yet enjoy air conditioning. My colleagues can be intense. I'm relatively chill. I make fun of them.

I love living in DC. This city is so pretty and interesting. I bought my condo about a year-and-half ago, and am now furnishing it. I always get a kick out of being able to see the White House from in front of my building.

I'm hilarious. Most days I crack myself up.

On a typical Friday night I am
I really want to make a habit of watching more movies on a Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I spent a year on the Harvard Boxing Club. This means I spent a lot of time in grad school dodging punches (or not) from 18 and 19 year olds. I once had a guy from the law school tell me how proud he was of the black eye I gave him. I think it gave him some weird street cred with his classmates and professors :-/
