My self-summary
I am a fun, athletic, easy-going person. I'm unfailingly kind and outgoing, though I prefer a small, intimate group to a crowd. I strive to achieve great things professionally, but I value my free time. I'm progressive and a feminist (like, for real, not just on my OK Cupid profile). I have a positive outlook on life, like to go on adventures (small and large), and want to find someone special with whom to share new experiences!
What I’m doing with my life
For my job, I advocate for atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers around the country. Outside of work I run, play basketball, play volleyball, and generally regret taking on so much student loan debt.
I’m really good at
dunking a basketball, board games, optimism, writing, and reaching things on high shelves.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my encyclopedic knowledge of jellybean flavors, followed by my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Name of the Wind, The Stormlight Archive, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, A Short History of Nearly Everything

Slumdog Millionaire, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Stardust, Shawn of the Dead, The Incredibles, The Usual Suspects

Sherlock, Firefly, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Newsroom, the first 3 seasons of The Office

Anything I can sing along to. When I'm cooking dinner I mostly listen to podcasts, including: TED Radio Hour, Welcome to Night Vale, Serial, This American Life, and Radiolab. Actually, a great way to tell if we would get along is to listen to an episode of Welcome to Night Vale and decide if you think it's hilarious. It is.

Eggplant parmesan, grilled portabella mushrooms, pad thai, tempeh/tofu stir fry, avocado anything, homemade pizza
Six things I could never do without
my cats
a functional kitchen
a warm shower on a cold day
a job where I can do good, meaningful work
my bike
a basketball league, ultimate league, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
ways to enjoy a frigid Madison winter.
On a typical Friday night I am
up for anything! Boardgames and booze make for a great Friday night, but so does pool and dinner out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I have listened to NPR my entire life and I have NEVER DONATED!
You should message me if
you enjoy smart conversation and have a decent success rate identifying sarcasm. I will certainly reply to any message that took some effort to type.
