My self-summary
Born and raised in Seattle, I work in the public schools, and mostly love it here in the PNW. I'm progressive, feminist, intellectual, emotional, artistic, and I believe in environmental stewardship and civic duty. I'm an only child and an aspiring "renaissance man." Sometimes I feel startling similarities with the life of Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Jewish blood and Nordic features.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to have fun, and not be too serious- I'm a School Psychologist, and I enjoy my work and the many roles I play at my schools. My job with struggling students and children with disabilities is very rewarding, but can also be stressful, so I'm working on finding that life balance (I imagine most of us are!).

Mindfullness and yoga practice have been new foci for me in the last year or so (or, more accurately, a re-focus). I try to walk places, make things myself, and avoid online shopping.

I love the arts in general, including visual arts mostly, but also theater and dance, among other things. I don't miss a lot of first Thursdays, love the Frye and the Henry, and keep a membership at the SAM. I've been getting back into my own art practice- most recently some figure drawing classes at Pratt- but definitely not a serious or "good" artist.

I love to read, mostly literature, poetry, and criticism, but sometimes I get drawn to science and psychology. Fitness and exercise are really important to me, but after spending years obsessed with rock climbing, my time of driving a lot for outdoor sports is probably over (I still like to get out of town to camp and hike, just not all the time). I'd describe myself as an introvert who likes social time too, so I get out often and have close friends, but need my down time to recharge.

On a typical Friday night I am
Probably recovering from the work week with some exercise, cooking something tasty, maybe working on art, and relaxing at home. I'll definitely go out if there's something fun happening too!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I will cry during most movies at some point, I'm just a sucker for it- even Marvel super hero movies can get me.
