My self-summary
A few words others use to describe my personality:

Funny, honest, polite, charming. Someone told me I was interesting. I thought that was decent.

The same people who use words like the ones above also might use words like jackass, nerd, jerk and dork, endearingly, while I tell them some weird situation I got myself into yesterday.

More about me:

Just like everyone says, I enjoy exploring the city and the Bay Area. When I'm not catching a bite with friends, taking a bike ride, at a concert, or planning an epic adventure, I might be at home, reading or wondering whether tonight's the night I teach myself how to sew.

I probably feel best when I'm around friends and family with music in the background, laughing, talking and telling stories. As much as I love having fun in what ever fashion, I am also relentlessly devoted to furthering myself professionally.

About you:

I hope you are in love with something other than the idea of finding love. I also require that you are sassy, confident, at least somewhat sociable and intelligent. If you can engage in witty banter and challenge me in a debate, that would be pretty cool too.

Even more about me:

My loves are writing, cooking, biking, camping, storytelling, music, ramblesome adventures and people watching/analyzing.

Remembering the things that most forget but then forgetting the things that people typically remember.
The first things people usually notice about me
Sometimes I'll get the nice eyes comment. People often tell me I look really young. I've been called Wolverine a few times when my hair gets longer. I'm pretty sure they're talking about the creature though, not Hugh Jackman.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Recent reads include:

The New Jim Crow - Alexander
Zeithoun - Eggers
Ishmael - Quinn
The Road - McCarthy
Dress Your Children in Corduroy and Denim - Sedaris

I like laughing at cheesy horror. I also like crying or getting mind-fucked by very serious, thought provoking dramas.

Documentaries typically rock.

I have a hard time following fantasy but I like to try watching it.

This American Life
How I Built This
Ted Talks
BBC World News
Planet Money

I find most TV programming to be pretty horrible. I think I'm pretty critical. The only shows I am really watching right now is The Walking Dead, John Oliver and anything Anthony Bourdain.

I am such a critic, I have developed this pretty odd relationship with mainstream reality tv. I watch some shows trying to get into the mindset of someone who is "really watching it". Then I end up kind of liking it and losing by critical lens. I have become a victim of my own curiosity in a few very sad instances.

I love music! There is too much going on here but I will attempt:

My spotify artists range from Billie Holiday to Jolie Holland to Kendick Lamar to Cursive to Tom Waits to Feist to Morphine to Screaming Jay Hawkins to Hank Williams Sr to Art Tatum to Deftones to Erykah Badu to Son House to Hockey to The National to Damien Rice to The Black Keys to Bright Eyes to Wu-Tang Clan to Iron & WIne to Sage Francis to The Rolling Stones to Cat Stevens to Karl Blau to Fleetwood Mac.

Wings &
Sushi &
Red Beans and rice any time.

You can also ask me about how I traveled through 42 US States looking for the best hamburger...while doing other shit, of course.
Six things I could never do without
The Strange.

A good story.

My ears.

The open road...either literally or metaphorically.

You. If you are special.

Genuine Human Interaction.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Awesome dad jokes. Where's the church of rock 'n' roll? The cosmos. The unique and superficial elements of every experience. Great topics for books. Did I just offend that person?? I hope not.
On a typical Friday night I am
out or in or both. Sometimes I am at an In and Out or I'm out attending a sit-in like it's going out...or thinking of similar dope word plays or simply dropping science.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have webbed toes.
You should message me if
you are ready to fall helplessly for me the moment our eyes meet.

I would like a message from you if are willing to meet up and are genuinely ready to open yourself to someone new. My intent is to make real connections. I hope you are too.
