I do not like beginning each sentence with I. ULooking for male friendship is new to me. A little nervousness appears. Lone Star Cowboy Church is my church. What I’m doing with my life
My life is good. Counting my blessings is a daily thing. Spending time with grandkids and kids is my favorite thing. Love my church. Watch tv. Read novels, crochet, walk and play with my little dog, cook, keep up with friends old and new on Facebook. Would enjoy playing 42 domino game. Just like relaxing, going out to eat, visiting with family and friends, just living life without going to work. Would enjoy more traveling and seeing places. Lots more living to do !
I’m really good at
Teaching math and sixth graders, being a Mother, being a Grandmother, loving dogs, don't know about Really good. I am a really good talker I guess. I can listen, too. I am really good at loving to be loved. I love country western dancing and listening to music.
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh, I don't know. That I am friendly. That I smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I should say the Bible, but I still have not read the whole book from beginning to end. I plan to purchase one that is interpreted so I can grasp it better and relate to church sermons. I liked Scott Turrow's book Presumed Innocent, John Grisham's The Firm, Anya Seton's Katherine, many, many romance novels. Couldn't put down The Other Side Of Midnight. Movies are Smokey And The Bandit, Pretty Woman, The Rookie, Shrek, Something To Talk About, Elf, The Christmas Card, To Kill A Mockingbird, El Cid, North To Alaska, TV shows presently Young and Restless, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Dancing With The Stars, Live With Kelly and Michael, David Letterman, and number one favorite is Duck Dynasty!!! I love country music and oldies of rock and roll, some blues. Food, Blue Bell ice cream, seafood especially shrimp, Mexican food, Chinese, and good old home cooking like chicken and dumplings and smothered steak!!!
The six things I could never do without
My daughters, my grandchildren, my Mother, my Chrissy girldog, my sisters, my niece and nephews.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My grandchildren, duh. And my life now that I am no longer working. Thinking about my past and my future. Thinking about how blessed I have been. Thinking about how I can give back. Wondering where I should build or buy to create my new home now that I have sold my old one and have been living in a very nice apartment. J think about my Mother who is a very important part of my life. Mostly thinking about how I can do my part to help my family and to add to their well being and happiness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Oh, probably at one of my daughter's homes enjoying them and the grandkids. Sometimes I go out to eat with family. Sometimes go to a movie. Sometimes just stay in with a Duck Dynasty marathon or read a good book. I used to go to steak night at the Elks Lodge with my Henry before he passed away. I can be guilty of being a homebody. But, when something good comes along count me in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If it's private, it is private !
You should message me if
You would enjoy getting to know each other a little by talking back and forth to see if we might like chatting. If you are a levelheaded, fun loving, nice, thoughtful, cute, clean, nonalcoholic, nonsmoker, fairly fit, good looking, can dance, can cook well, like children and enjoy looking for a good friend to get to know.
