My self-summary
A creative, caring, kid at heart
who loves photography, theater and creating art.
Looking for a playful partner in crime
who appreciates reading a good book and clever rhymes:)
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching students with learning disabilities
I love helping them find their strengths and abilities

I like to be creative-- writing short stories, calligraphy, and drawing with 3D bubble letters are some of the art forms I enjoy. I also love going to see musicalsand plays in Boston, listening to music, and reading. This past year I've really gotten into photography. I love going outside to take pictures-- capturing the light and the shadows in all of the brilliant new England seasons. I've recently started a blog to share my art and ideas about mindfulness in order to promote discussions and explore ideas with other teachers and artists.
I’m really good at
--drawing 3D bubble letters
--writing backwards
--playing word games (Boggle, Scrabble)
--identifying a song when it first comes on the radio
--working with kids
--making other people feel comfortable in conversations
--playing Tetris
The first things people usually notice about me
my amazing blue eyes

People tell me that I don't look as short as I really am. I am not sure what that means but people never guess that I am only 5 feet, 1 inch and a quarter. I recently acquired the quarter about 5 years ago and I am very proud of it!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Books

1. Crashing Through, by Robert Kurson. It is a true story about a man who became blind at age 3 and all of the incredible things that he did as a blind man. In mid-life he receives surgery that restores his vision. The book describes his journey back through the world of sight. It is fascinating reading his descriptions and really made me think about vision in a new way.

2. The Five People You Meet in Heaven

3. Harry Potter (Books 1-7)

4. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

You enjoy getting to know people and having conversations. I love it when people like to engage in playful conversations-- you know the kind when you can make fun of each other and joke around. I like it when people can switch seamlessly between joking around and serious conversations.

It's also always a great sign when you can sing along to songs together on the radio and dance around-- not worrying that you are making a fool of yourself! Being playful, a kid at heart, but also with an intellectual side, is a turn on. Having something that you are passionate about-- whether it's your job or a hobby-- and enjoy sharing it with someone, that's really cool.

Life is about exploring and learning together. I would love to hear from you if you are curious and love to learn. I love learning new things from other people and sharing what I know.
