Professionally I have worn many hats and now that my priorities have changed in life, I'm delving in arts and crafts, find metalsmithing really challenging and design as well as fabricate my own jewelry.
I would like a man to keep me warm at night, to hold me and just breathe in my essence while softly kissing me.
Until then, I am doing laps at the pool, perfecting my swimming style and not holding my breath. I belong to the church of the pragmatist; whereas some people say, "Praise the Lord" we say, "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition."
I love the screwball classics, The Thin Man series and My Man Godfrey with William Powell and Carole Lombard are among my favorites. I am a "Toon Head" and am collecting my favorite cartoons from the 20s and 30s.
Music is very important in my life. I listen to everything from baroque classical and liturgical chant to trip hop with a good measure of jazz and rock 'n roll thrown in. I enjoy medieval/ancient music all the way to contemporary classics. I grew up listening to big band music and have inherited a wide selection of 78's (Artie Shaw was my hero when I was 8 years old.)
I don't really have time just now for reading but am currently enjoying Zola's The Belly of Paris. Robert Burns is a man after my own heart writing "To a Mouse" which is best known for the lines, "The best laid plans of mice and men go often awry." I have a favorite expression - "if ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy!?!"
A jug of wine, a loaf of bread and thou....
You like homemade biscuits, waffles or blueberry buttermilk pancakes on Sunday mornings, perhaps with home-cured bacon and with freshly squeezed orange juice to wash it all down.
And last but not least,
you're a real man looking for a real woman.
