My self-summary
In a general phrase, devoid of nuance, but potentially helpful, I'm a poly-amorous, atheistic, kinky, bisexual, extra-nerdy, French-Canadian, cis gendered male. I have a strong love for philosophy and the arts, though I can't claim to have contributed anything original to either. I've worked for about a dozen non profit organizations in WA over the last decade, so I consider myself something of an activist. I was born in Kansas, raised in Indiana, and learned a few things about who I was, but mostly about who I didn't want to be, during a stint in the US Navy that was intentionally cut short. Once that nonsense was over, I found myself in Seattle where I spent the first few years raving like a loon, and the last few working for all manner of non-profits doing fundraising, petition gathering, voter persuasion/registration, union building, and direct veteran outreach.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Bellingham in January. My lovely partner Maria and I are going to school; her at Western and me at the community college. She's studying education and I'm studying to be a social justice superhero. There's a lot of causes that are important to me, but I'm most interested in sustainability, decreasing the power of money in politics and the legal system, and supporting veterans within the anti-war movement.

Pretty well tapped into the local Burning Man community at least in Seattle. I jam occasionally with a little group call Jerk Church (ask about it, there's whiskey and singing involved... actually that's mostly it.). I write various content ranging from emotional beat poetry, comic book character rap battles, and assorted prose. I've been known to play the harmonica and washboard on occasion.
I’m really good at
Some of the above mentioned hobbies. Surprising people. Mediating other people's drama. Bike repair. House cleaning, just not mine.
The first things people usually notice about me
My sweet sweet chops.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As far as books, Ishmael sticks out in my mind, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Way of Zen, The Zombie Survival Guide, Anarchy Works, and The Maine Woods

For movies, I'll go Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Tekkon Kinkreet, I <3 Huckabees, Harold and Maude, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sweeny Todd, and Fantastic Planet.

Online I watch Sci Show, Crash Course, Rap News, and elsewise, there's Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and maybe a bit of Naruto.

I've been really into old school western and folk lately, I love experimental stuff. Anything that either has soul, good lyrics that I can relate too, or a funky new sound that I haven't heard before.
Six things I could never do without
the internet, lovers, parkour, sleep, community, some new project to keep me occupied.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever it was I have planned a few days from now. How best to help my house function better, and what I can do around it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually being a homebody. Occasionally playing Pathfinder, or heading down to see friends in Seattle.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm into some pretty kinky stuff, some people would call me vanilla of course. I can be pretty insecure, but I've gotten the feeling lately that most people just fake it.
You should message me if
any of what I talked about is also stuff that you'd like to do with someone else. If you just want to chat, or if you've got some crazy interest that you don't think you could drag some one else to. Chances are, I'm game.
