My self-summary
I am a native Oregonian, and have had the opportunity to live and in 3 out of the 4 corners of this awesome state. I always enjoy meeting new people and trying new things My friends describe me as a glass half full, fun guy. I’m always up for going out with friends for a beer, walk bike ride especially when the weather is nice. I just got back from Nicaragua after being out of the country for the past two years working as an TEFL English Teacher Trainer in the Peace Corps. I love traveling skiing, swimming, camping, going to the movies going to concerts in my free time.
What I’m doing with my life
Now that I am back home in living in Portland I am working toward my goal of a career in sustainable development. My B.A. is in Political Science and International Relations and I'd to be able to put that to use. In the meantime I am enjoying life one day at a time, and currently working for an energy conservation company downtown.
I’m really good at
Not to toot my own horn but I am a pretty good skier. It is one of my favorite sports which I have been doing as a kid. I always thought it would be cool to travel around as a ski instructor. As a result of living and work both Spain and Nicaragua over the course of 3 years I am pretty fluent in Spanish. I love practicing with others because there is always room for improvement :)
The first things people usually notice about me
The first 3 things that come to mind are:
-My height, 6'3" 6'4" depending on whose measuring. If I had a dollar for every time someone said to me "wow man you are tall" I could retire tomorrow.
-Bright blues, while living abroad I got so many comments about how people wanted to switch eyes with me.
-Long eyelashes, most girls I have met are jealous that such long eyelashes are going to waste on a guy. It's a blessing and a curse I guess.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: Mysteries, I like Lee Child and Dan Brown are some of favorites authors. I also like funny stories like the books Carl Hiaasen. While it is not a book I also love reading the magazine the Economist to find out what is going on in the world.

MOVIES: My two favorite genres are comedy and action. I love movies with slap stick humor one of my all time favorites is Ace Ventura Pet Detective and the Mask. Pretty much any comedy with Jim Carrey is amazing! The Hangover series and so many more there to many to list. My favorite action series is the Bourne Identity Matt Damon is amazing! I also really like James Bond especially the classics with Sean Connery. Daniel Craig isn't bad but I don't like that he doesn't follow the tradition. I don't like Horror movies. I watch movies to get away and not to be scarred

TV SHOWS: Just like movies I love the comedies. A few of my favorites are Scrubs, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men and of course the Daily Show. I also really like Police/spy shows NCIS and Burn Notice and travel and food shows like No Reservations, Bizarre Foods and National Geographic's Don't tell my Mom I visited.... I don't have time to watch as much tv as I use to but that is what is so great about Hulu and Netflix.:)

FOOD: I love food! When it comes to food I live by the motto try everything once. There has only been a few times when I regretted eating something. It's hard to pick a cuisine that is my favorite. Italian, Mexican, Thai, Greek, Japanese, and lately Korean because of cafe near my work. American BBQ is pretty amazing as well! I could never make it as a vegan.

MUSIC: I know it is a bit of a cop-out but I really do like a little bit of everything. I all depends on my mood. I love to listen to music on my ride to work usually something upbeat like Pitbull that I can ride to the beat. As a kid I grew up listening to country Jimmy Buffett and Eric Clapton. I like Bruno Mars and Marron 5 As a result of living in Spain and Nicaragua I have acquired a taste for Spanish rock like and latin bachata and reggeton. Seriously if you were to look at my Pandora account you'd see it's a mixed bag.
