My self-summary
Ok time to update this thing, I'm currently a R&D chemist I still do some academic research on the side with some archaeologists. Um, ok, that's enough boring stuff I suppose. Outside of work I read or try and get out of the house when I can.

I like to go out and wander around to see new places or things. I have set a goal to try and visit every continent some time within the next 5 or 6 years. So far I'm only up to 2 of 7 , I got back from Iceland and Ireland back in May and it really was great.

I love to find any thing with a good story to it, be it book, movie or game, but after saying that I also have huge love of B horror and Scifi movies, the goofier, the better, think MST3K candidates. I also have a love of the old pulp radio shows like the Phantom and Dick Tracy.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to learns something new when ever I can and seeing something new when ever I get the chance.

Over all trying to keep my self busy, if I'm bored I tend to get into trouble.
I’m really good at
Analytical thinking, tinkering, and getting lost in thought. The last one probably more then my bosses would like.
The first things people usually notice about me
Long Red hair or the Goatee... Quite possibly the smile?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books by Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child, David Sedaris, Christopher Moore, Robert Asprin, Jules Verne or any kinda goofy fantasy/Sci fi books, Hellboy Comics
Pizza and a good hard cider

Music: Reel Big fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Mad Caddies,The Dreadnoughts, Flogging Molly, The Tossers, The Bollox, Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Break Of Reality. Also the guilty pleasure of nerd rap, i.e. MC Frontalot and the like.

Tv: Not too much, but I love watching Futurama (favorite show), Dr Who and Lost Girl. Start re-watching Northern exposure after finding it online to stream, was something I loved as a kid.
The six things I could never do without
A Good Book
The prospect of an Adventure
The freedom to travel
Music
Good Conversation
Smartphone, I use it way too much.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All sorts of things, it tends to be be pretty random in my head, usually worth an odd look or two, but its amusing on my end.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out a group of friends or indulging in one of those 6 things I can't do without.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You lucky people get three things, 2 goofy ones and one serious:

-The chief inspirations for studying Anthropology in college was Indiana Jones. Turns out the man was a horrible archaeologist, still love the movies though.

-I've been playing dungeons and dragons since I was 12 and I doubt I be stopping anytime soon.

- I moved back home a few years ago to help take care of my dad, who is handy capped, so there will be times where I have to rush out in the middle of things to help him out, try not to give me shit about it, I've gotten enough of it as is.
You should message me if
You enjoy a good slice, conversation, or adventure with a fun loving intelligent guy.

---Or---

If you have an over riding need to try and conquer the world and want a dashing but slightly absently minded guy to be your right hand.
