My self-summary
I've been in the Bay Area for about three years now and am loving it - may have to switch my allegiance from So Cal to Nor.

I'm looking for a partner to share my life with: someone to go on adventures with, share the highs and lows of life with, and face everything together as a team.

I am very independent, but looking for the right person to spend the future with.
What I’m doing with my life
I do research in the area of science education and technology.
My life pretty much revolves around science, research, and science-related research. It is wonderful. I also spend a lot of time with my dog, who is super amazing and awesome.
I’m really good at
quoting movies (especially Monty Python, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Star Wars); soccer
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book is Infinite Jest. The experience of reading that book changed the way I think about literature. I also really like Kurt Vonnegut, the Harry Potter series, books about science, some science-fiction books, and other random fiction and non-fiction. I like to read.

For movies, my all-time favorite is Casablanca, closely followed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

In terms of TV shows, I recently finished watching The Wire and it was awesome. I also really like New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, The Amazing Race, LOST, Battlestar Galactica, and Parks and Rec.

I listen to lots of different music. My favorites are: Wilco, Radiohead, the Beatles, Gomez, old Weezer, Spoon, the Polyphonic Spree, Arcade Fire, Pink Floyd, the Velvet Underground, the Flaming Lips, and Sufjan Stevens. I also really like musicals.
The six things I could never do without
pizza, feminism, corrective lenses, my dog, a good book to read, friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I'm going on my next trip, the (lack of) internal consistency of time travel movies and books
